Since 2006, when she began making her first beats on a classic MPC 2000XL, Aversive has produced a kaleidoscope of sounds of with the enthusiasm and grit of a true visionary. Drum & Bass, Jungle and Trip Hop music being her passion, she has stopped at nothing to avert the masses from the humdrum of ordinary soundscapes, paving her own path of sonic ingenuity. Aversive has had over a dozen signed releases with ground breaking labels such as Dutty Bass Audio (Toronto, CAN), MalLabel Music (USA), Black Tuna Recordings (CAN), The Outtallectual Collective (UK), Visionary Shamanic Records (UK), and The Glitch Shop (UK). Her last Drum & Bass EP, "Bone Breaker" (released with Toronto label, Dutty Bass Audio) was featured on the DnB Allstars "Under the Radar" podcast and broke over 14,000 plays on Spotify. She has worked for the bass heavy Canadian sound system company PK Sound and is a member of the North America wide DJ/Producer collective the DnB Girls. She has DJ'd for over a decade at city venues and electronic music festivals across Western Canada. This includes the DnB Girls Take-Over at Shambhala and Wicked Woods, Spectrum stage at Motion Notion, The Sukuna Valley Awakening, LEMF, as well as internationally in Costa Rica at Bamboo Bass Festival. Currently she hosts, promotes, and DJs her own monthly DJ night in Nakusp, BC, called RINSE&ROAR at the Three Lions Pub. https://aversive.net

Excited to say I finely finished my new EP today. Pretty well locked myself in the studio the last 3 days with only the odd break to whip up Ramen and rest my ears. Really happy with how this new stuff turned out. Stay tuned! 🔥

Today is Bandcamp Friday! It is the perfect day to support your favorite artists.

Bandcamp Friday: A recurring event where Bandcamp gives up its share of sales revenue, allowing more of each purchase to go directly to the artist or label.

One year later, we're finally putting this one out.

The Shambhala 2025 Takeover mix is here. 💥

Recorded live on Saturday evening at The Village, our artists were setting the tone before the night kicked into full gear. Packed with high-energy DnB from start to finish, it's the perfect soundtrack for reliving the weekend—or for the drive back to the farm this week. 💚

Whether you're reminiscing about last summer or already counting down the minutes, this mix is made for the journey.

Turn it up, roll the windows down, and we'll see you on the road to Shambhala. 🚐🌲🔊
