Events by Brucksie Well here we go a little bio on how we have come to this point. I started my career in 1999 in the financing industry working for subprime.

Where I learned to listen to people and work with individuals to meet there needs. At this point is where I learned the art of sales, financing and time management in a very busy office over 200 phone calls and daily traffic there was never a minute to waste. This was a place I seen myself retiring at as it was a career I loved. But in 2015 the perfect little life was turned upside down, my younge

st son was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer so we had a whole new battle against us. With a full time career and my 12 year old still needing mom to. We did our best to balance for the next 2 years. We are all here happy and healthy and new values in the home, it is no longer about a career and becoming a huge success it is now about a balance between home and work. I started market life WOW loved it right away in 2016. I have loved being a vendor all over the province for the last 7 years. Market life isn't just work its family. Something I never thought I would find again. In 2020 it was great happiness that my new husband joined me on the adventure of market life and without his support we wouldn't be starting this page. in 2021 the manager for Lacombe Farmers Market was offered and although hesitant at first am super happy that I took the leap. Which has opened up so many new events for me to help and work with. Last year we were happy to accept the offer from Lacombe Tourism to work on the Culture and Harvest Festival what a great time and loved seeing the growth from the previous year. This year 2023 we have accepted to do Canada Day for Lacombe Tourism and and the Culture Harvest festival. Lacombe Days has also asked us to run the 2 day market this year. So we are growing and a good pace. Happy to be in an amazing city that supports us.

This Thursday is our 2026 Outdoor Season Season Opening (Take Two!) and we can’t WAIT to fill Michener Park with all the good stuff:

• and all the friendly faces that make this market feel like family ❤️

Never underestimate how much you are growing during the quiet seasons of your life.

WEATHER ALERT 🌪️

We have unfortunately had to CANCEL TODAY'S MARKET - Thursday, May 14th.

We ALWAYS run rain or shine - that's our commitment to you. But safety comes first. After being on site this morning, the wind is just too much. With gusts reaching up to 90 km/hr and sustained winds of 60 km/hr, we cannot risk our vendors' tents, products, equipment - or the safety of anyone in our community. This was a difficult decision, but it's the right one.

We know this is disappointing - it's disappointing for us too. Our vendors have been looking forward to seeing you, and we hate to let our community down. But we won't compromise on safety.

We'll be back next Thursday, May 21st at 2 PM at Michener Park. We can't wait to see you then!
