It’s almost the end of our first holiday season at Toast. Almost an entire year making the village our home and hosting friend old & new to celebrate every milestone. 🥹🥂✨

We are so thankful for the sparkles, laughter, gifts, music and every toast within our walls this season. We are eagerly awaiting 2026 with open hearts and open books - Things are booking well into April and beyond. It’s never too early to reach out.

One of my favourite trends in recent years is experience gifts. 🎁

Studied have found that people who received experiential gifts reported stronger improvements in relationship strength compared with those who received material gifts. This benefit comes from the emotional intensity elicited during the consumption of the experience (rather than when the gift is received).

Also, earlier classic research by Leaf Van Boven and Thomas Gilovich showed that investing in life experiences rather than material goods tends to yield greater and more enduring happiness. People adapt more quickly to material possessions, meaning the initial boost tends to fade, whereas memories of experiences maintain their value over time.
