After two VERY long days, we can finally say… we made it to Pictou! 🤠🍩

The trailer is officially on location for Ribfest, we’re checked into our campground, and we can finally settle in for the night.

Yesterday definitely did not go according to plan. On our way to Pictou, a tire came off the trailer near Truro. Thankfully, we were able to get safely off the highway — and from there, we were reminded just how many genuinely good people are out there.

So many people stopped to check on us, offer a hand, or make sure we were okay.

A HUGE shoutout to Scott from Truro, who stopped, stayed with us, helped figure out what had happened and got the trailer fixed up enough to safely move it to a nearby repair shop. We genuinely don’t know what we would have done without you.

And the kindness just kept going — from the people helping us track down parts, to our hotel check-in, to our late-night Boston Pizza stop, and everyone else we crossed paths with along the way.

Another MASSIVE thank you to Wallace McNutt Sales in Truro for getting us back on the road today. We basically showed up on their doorstep needing help while they already had a busy schedule, and they didn’t hesitate to help us get things sorted so we could continue on to Pictou.

And finally, a huge shoutout to the Pictou County Ribfest organizers for putting up with their problem child this weekend. 😂 They have been SO accommodating and flexible through every change of plans, and even gave the trailer an es**rt to its new home for the weekend when we finally arrived.

It has been two full days of unexpected setbacks, changed plans, problem solving and figuring things out as we went.

But WE MADE IT.

Tonight we rest. Tomorrow, we finally get to do what we came here to do — roll some mini donuts in Pictou! 🍩

Seriously, thank you to every single person who helped get Coastal Cowgirl Mini Donuts here. We couldn’t have done it without you.
