This was our very first Airdrie Farmers Market!
Of course, we were hoping to make some sales, (we had some leads) but what we didn't expect was the experience that came with it.
First, something completely unexpected happened. The vendor beside our booth recognized Mark's name and his sample drawings. She introduced herself, โshe was actually one of his previous clients who ordered I think 6 pet portrait drawings.
What a small world! โค๏ธ
We also got to meet so many wonderful people and fellow local vendors. We got to try some free samples, discovered some local products, and of course... ended up buying a few things ourselves! ๐
So yes, while we only sold around $20 worth of products, we somehow spent around $40 supporting other small businesses. ๐คฆโโ๏ธ๐
But honestly, the best part?
We gave away more than 30 balloon creations for free and even gave away 2 paint kits.
Why? Because why not? Seeing people smile was worth it. โค๏ธ
Sometimes, it's not always about how much you make.
Sometimes it's about the connections you build, reconnecting with past clients, discovering amazing local businesses, supporting your community, gaining experience, and simply having fun along the way.
So yes, I made $20 and spent $40...
But honestly? I'd do it again. โค๏ธ๐๐จ
