Meet the Abbotsford Voice Team. πŸ‘‡
Flood resiliency is one of Patricia's top priorities because protecting Abbotsford means protecting our people, our farmland, and our food security. 🌾

As a City Councillor, Patricia has worked to build strong relationships with farmers, local organizations, neighbouring communities, and provincial and federal leaders to keep flood mitigation at the forefront. She knows that lasting solutions require collaboration and persistent advocacy.

While major infrastructure projects take time, Patricia will continue to champion practical short-term improvements that farmers are asking for while advocating for the long-term investments our community needs. 🀝

Protecting the Sumas Prairie isn't just about safeguarding farmland, it's about strengthening our local economy, supporting the families who feed our country, and ensuring Abbotsford is resilient for generations to come.

Meet the Abbotsford Voice Team. πŸ‘‡
Agriculture isn’t just something Patricia supports, it’s part of her family’s everyday life.

Patricia and her husband, Shane, operate a family poultry farm right here in Abbotsford while raising their three children.

Living and working on the farm has given Patricia a firsthand understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing local agriculture, from protecting farmland to advocating for flood mitigation and supporting the long-term sustainability of farming.

She’s proud to stand up for the people who help feed our communities and make Abbotsford Canada’s agriculture capital.

🌟Celebrating the rich cultures that make Abbotsford such a vibrant place to call home. 🌟

Last month, Patricia and Carmen had the opportunity to attend the Virsa Fndn Mela, a wonderful celebration of Punjabi heritage, culture, and community. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with incredible warmth and hospitality. Even though (spoiler alert!) we don’t come from a South Asian background, we immediately felt included in the celebration. A reflection of the welcoming spirit that makes Abbotsford so special.

Virsa Foundation does an incredible job preserving their heritage, empowering women and rural artisans, and fostering cultural pride. Their work helps strengthen our community by celebrating traditions while bringing people from all backgrounds together.

A heartfelt thank you to the Virsa Foundation, its volunteers, performers, and everyone who made the day such a memorable experience.

We've shared our 8 priorities for Abbotsford, but there's another number that's just as important to us: 11.

There are 11 reasons in this photo why we're stepping up.

Between the three of us, we're raising 11 incredible kids here in Abbotsford. They remind us every day why it's important to make thoughtful decisions, plan for the future, and help build a city where families can thrive.

Launching a new electoral organization and running a grassroots campaign takes a tremendous amount of time, energy, and financial support. Every postcard, lawn sign, community event, and conversation is made possible by people who believe in what we're working toward.

If something you've heard from us has resonated with you, we'd be honoured to have your support. Whether it's $25, $50, $250, or any amount you're comfortable giving, every contribution helps us share our message with more people across Abbotsford.

Thank you for believing in our team and in the future of our community.

8 Priorities. 8 Days.

Over the past eight days, we've shared the priorities that will guide Abbotsford Voice and our vision for the future of our city.

Priority #8: Every Voice Matters

A strong community starts with listening. We're committed to building a City Hall that is transparent, accessible, and approachable. Where residents feel welcome, safe to share their perspectives, and confident their voices will be heard.

That means creating more opportunities for public input, including a monthly Open Mic at Council meetings, strengthening community engagement early in the decision-making process, and fostering a culture where people feel safe to participate and every voice is valued.

The best decisions are made when people have a seat at the table. Because when every voice matters, Abbotsford is stronger.

8 Priorities. 8 Days.

Over the next eight days, we're sharing the priorities that will guide Abbotsford Voice and our vision for the future of our city.

Priority #7: Delivering the Basics

Great communities are built on the everyday services residents rely on. We're committed to focusing on the essentials... well-maintained roads, safe sidewalks, reliable transportation, and the infrastructure that keeps Abbotsford moving.

That means launching a comprehensive Roads and Transportation Review to identify priorities, increasing investment in road repairs, sidewalk maintenance, and snow removal, and advocating for improved public transit and expanded service for our growing community.

Delivering the basics means getting the fundamentals right and making sure our infrastructure keeps pace with Abbotsford's growth.

Priority #6: Protecting Agriculture

Agriculture is at the heart of Abbotsford. We're committed to supporting farmers, protecting farmland, and preserving the agricultural heritage that has helped shape our community for generations.

That means being a strong voice for provincial and federal investment in critical flood mitigation infrastructure, supporting practical solutions that strengthen the long-term sustainability of farming, and recognizing agriculture as a cornerstone of our local economy, culture, and identity.

Protecting agriculture isn't just about supporting today's farmers, it's about ensuring future generations can continue to farm and thrive in Abbotsford.
