✨ Celebrating Strength & Resilience ✨
Last week, the Botswana Association of the Deaf hosted the 2nd Women with Disability at Travel Lodge in Gaborone. Held under the theme “Celebrating Strength and Resilience of Women with Disabilities,” the conference shed light on systemic challenges while celebrating the remarkable resilience of women with disabilities in the fight for justice, dignity, and equal rights.
JL Communications had the privilege to be part of the conversations, where our Managing Director Ms Linda Masingizane was honoured to moderate one of the panel of discussions on “Amplifying Voices of Women and Girls with Disabilities in Gender-Based Violence Care, Support Systems and Human Rights.
The panel brought together distinguished voices:
Dr. Tebogo Mapodisi – Human Rights Advocate
Ms. Tshegofatso Lopang – Social Worker & Counsellor, BGBVC
Ms. Gagoope Modimoosi – Principal Gender Officer, Department of Gender Affairs
Assistant Commissioner Ms. Matswirir – Deputy Director, Gender and Child Protection Unit, Botswana Police Service (check spelling)
At JL Communications, we are honoured to stand alongside change-makers in amplifying voices, strengthening support systems, and driving inclusivity through our partnership with BGBVC and Kwa Kgotleng Product.
💜 Together, we move towards a society where every voice is heard and valued.
