✨ Celebrating Strength & Resilience ✨

Last week, the Botswana Association of the Deaf hosted the 2nd Women with Disability at Travel Lodge in Gaborone. Held under the theme “Celebrating Strength and Resilience of Women with Disabilities,” the conference shed light on systemic challenges while celebrating the remarkable resilience of women with disabilities in the fight for justice, dignity, and equal rights.

JL Communications had the privilege to be part of the conversations, where our Managing Director Ms Linda Masingizane was honoured to moderate one of the panel of discussions on “Amplifying Voices of Women and Girls with Disabilities in Gender-Based Violence Care, Support Systems and Human Rights.
The panel brought together distinguished voices:

With her strong background in operational risk management, compliance, and stakeholder engagement, she brings both strategic insight and a commitment to organizational accountability.

Beyond her corporate achievements, Anastacia is also a dedicated leader in the sports community, serving in key governance and safeguarding roles within the Botswana Judo Federation and the Southern Judo Confederation. Her dedication to ethical governance and athlete protection highlights her passion for building safe, well-structured environments both in and outside the workplace.

A special thank you to H.E. Dr.Syvak, the Ambassador of Ukraine, for unveiling the Colors of Hope Art Exhibition. This powerful showcase featured artworks by students from Mogoditshane Senior Secondary School, Gaborone Senior Secondary School, Motswakhumo Junior School, and Kopong Junior School — each expressing their raw and authentic views on Gender-Based Violence through art. 🎨💔

Our heartfelt appreciation to Senior Assistant Commissioner Ms. Cynthia Setilo of the Botswana Police Service for her impactful keynote address that reinforced our collective commitment to ending GBV.
