🌿 Be Still and Let God Drive
I recently made the decision to take a few weeks off from my 9–5 job — time I thought would be filled with rest and clarity. Instead, I got sick with the flu. And in that stillness, I realized something: there had been so much noise in my life.
Not noise in the sense of sound, but noise in the form of distractions, disappointments, deadlines, and discouragement. Everything felt like it was crumbling — personally, financially, professionally, and even spiritually. I felt overstimulated and overwhelmed.
But it was in that quiet moment of being forced to slow down that God spoke to me. I picked up my Bible again. I returned to my devotionals. And in that stillness, I began to hear Him clearly. God started to clear my mind — He removed the doubt, the fear, and the confusion surrounding decisions I had been struggling with.
And when I stopped trying to control the outcome and simply gave thanks, prayed, and surrendered, things began to unfold in divine order.
Too often, we try to be the driver of the car when God is asking us to let go of the wheel. We fight for control when all He wants is our trust.
“Be still, and know that I am God.” – Psalm 46:10
When it comes to business, I’ve learned that entrepreneurship is not for everyone. Having a skill, talent, or idea doesn’t automatically mean you’re ready for the mental, emotional, and spiritual weight that comes with running a business. The ups, downs, and uncertainties can shake your confidence and test your faith.
Balancing a business while maintaining a full-time job is not for the faint of heart. Many of us chose this path because we wanted freedom — freedom from working for others, freedom to create our own opportunities. But even in that freedom, we sometimes find ourselves bound by burnout, pressure, and the need to keep everything together.
That’s when God reminds us to rest in Him.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28
If God gave you the vision, He will also give you the resources, strength, and wisdom to carry it through. Don’t let fear or frustration make you doubt His plan. Every delay, every detour, every door that closes — it’s all part of His divine alignment.
“The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.” – Exodus 14:14
So today, take a moment to breathe. Step back from the noise. Realign your focus. Let God drive. Because when you surrender control, He takes you further than you could ever take yourself.
Keep God at the center of your business, your work, and your life — because success without His presence is just noise.
