Italy is beautiful. But beauty alone doesn’t make a wedding meaningful.

The difference between having a wedding in Italy and having a wedding that truly belongs there is the difference between a destination and a home.

Some couples carry Italy in their family history. For them, getting married there feels less like traveling and more like returning.

Others built their connection through experience. They lived there. Returned year after year. The place became part of their memories, part of who they are.

And sometimes the connection is more subtle. They recognize themselves in the culture, in the slower rhythm, in the beauty rooted in simplicity, in the way people gather around the table, the value placed on presence.

That’s when a wedding stops being only aesthetic and starts being emotional. Personal. Honest.

Guests feel the difference. Because the experience no longer feels performative. It feels true.

The most memorable weddings are rarely the ones trying to impress. They are the ones rooted in meaning. In memory. In identity.

Before choosing a venue, ask yourself something deeper: Why Italy?
Not for the photos. Not because everyone else is doing it. But because something about this place feels like you.

Because when a place becomes part of your story, the wedding becomes something no one else could ever replicate.

There is something special about the way Italy celebrates love.

Perhaps it’s the music echoing across the mountains and the lake. Perhaps it’s the beauty of the landscape. Or perhaps it’s the way everything seems to slow down, inviting people to simply be present.

Moments that are felt long before they become memories.
Because some memories are born from the beauty we see.
And others, from the way they made us feel while living them.

You probably have a saved folder full of wedding trends. But here’s what I learned: the most memorable celebrations aren’t built around what’s trending.

Trends can be replicated. Meaning can’t.

When a couple stops asking “How do we want it to look?” and starts asking “Why does this matter to us?”, everything changes.

The decisions become personal. The design becomes a language. The experience becomes something that couldn’t belong to anyone else.

This is the shift happening right now.
Not more aesthetics. More intention.
Not bigger structures. More presence.
Not copying what’s beautiful. Creating what’s real.

Because what stays in memory isn’t what was seen.
It’s what was felt. And that only happens when it’s entirely yours.

Most of what people believe about destination weddings is incomplete.

I've planned enough of them to know the difference between what sounds true and what actually is.The myths are loud. Cost concerns. Guest cancellations. The need for a planner. The idea that Italy is just one story.

But the reality is quieter. More nuanced. More possible than people think.A destination wedding isn't inherently more expensive — it depends on what you choose to prioritize. Your guests aren't as likely to cancel as you fear — they're more likely to show up for something that matters. And whether you need help isn't about the format of your wedding, it's about what kind of experience you're trying to create.

Italy isn't a single destination. It's a collection of stories, landscapes, and cultures. Each one offers something completely different.

The question isn't "should I marry in Italy?".
It's "which Italy speaks to who I am?"

And yes, you can eat badly in Italy. But that's not about Italy. That's about curation. It's about knowing the difference between a place that exists for tourists and a place that exists for itself. The truth is simpler than the myths.

A destination wedding works when you're intentional about every choice.
When you understand what you actually want — not what you think you're supposed to want. When you work with people who ask the right questions instead of offering the obvious answers.

That's not about the destination.
It's about clarity

Before the ceremony on the Amalfi Coast, there’s a moment that matters just as much.

A reception lunch isn’t just about gathering your guests. It’s about creating the space where they actually connect with each other — and with you.

We took them sailing to Capri. Yellow flowers that echo the lemon groves. A palette rooted in the landscape. Wine from the region. Olive oil from the region. Music that moves through the boat like conversation.

The details aren’t decoration. They’re the language of the place speaking through your celebration.

When your guests sit down, they’re not just sharing a meal. They’re experiencing where they are. They’re connected to the culture, the light, the moment. They’re present with you.

That’s the work.
Creating a space where your guests don’t just attend your wedding — they become part of its story.

Sometimes, the most important part of planning a wedding is what you discover beforehand.

Last week, I was invited to the Spring Gala at in Emilia-Romagna, an event by marking the beginning of wedding season. Beyond presenting the region and his network of artisans, it deepened my understanding of what’s possible here.

We began at a sanctuary overlooking a village, visited a marble factory, and experienced the craftsmanship embedded in everything. Emilia-Romagna is known for Ferrari, Parmigiano Reggiano, Aceto Balsamico, ceramics, and marble—tradition that shapes how people create.

But here’s what I realized: this is a region for couples who want their wedding rooted in something real. Not just a backdrop, but a place with history where every detail carries intention and meaning.

That’s what I search for when sourcing venues. Not just beauty, but the why behind it. The culture. The soul of a place.

When you marry somewhere with that depth, your wedding becomes a conversation between your story and the place’s story. That’s the difference of a destination with meaning.

Thank you, for this experience. And special thanks to and .hairstyle for preparing me for the evening. Being cared for by local artisans was part of understanding this region.

After years of planning weddings in Italy, I’ve learned something that changes how couples think about their budget.

Your budget isn’t determined by how much you have. It’s determined by where you invest it.

Four specific decisions shape 80% of your costs. And understanding them changes everything.

This isn’t about spending more. It’s about spending intentionally. It’s about knowing where to invest for maximum experience. Where to be flexible. Where to prioritize.

Because when you understand what actually shapes your budget, you stop making decisions based on fear or trends. You start making decisions based on what matters to you.

That’s the difference between a wedding that costs a lot and a wedding that’s worth it.

If you’re planning a wedding in Italy and want to understand how to allocate your budget where it creates the most meaning, let’s talk about it.
I’d love to guide you through this.

Colour isn’t decoration. It’s a decision.

When Juliana and Bruno arrived, they didn’t bring a mood board. They brought a feeling. A sense of warmth, of earth, of something that felt like autumn in Tuscany even though the season was late spring.

So we started with questions. Not “what colours are trendy?” But “what do these colours mean to you? What feeling do you want your guests to carry?”

From there, the palette emerged. Burnt orange. Deep burgundy. Mustard. Terracotta. The colours of harvest, of tradition, of a landscape that’s been cultivated for centuries. Not because it was beautiful, but because it was true.

Every floral arrangement, every table setting, every detail was then curated to speak that same language. The flowers weren’t chosen for their Instagram moment. They were chosen because they belonged to this story. Because they felt right in this light, at this time, in this place.

This is the work: understanding that a wedding’s aesthetic isn’t about following a trend. It’s about translating a couple’s essence into an environment where their guests can actually feel something.

Where colour isn’t just seen. It’s experienced.

A wedding isn't a single moment. It's a sequence of moments strung together by intention, presence, and the people who witness them.

This is Melina and Victor's day. Not as a highlight reel, but as a story.

The ceremony by the water. The quiet moment of reflection overlooking the landscape. The careful preparation. The embrace that says everything words can't.

What makes a wedding real isn't the perfection of the setting, as stunning as it is. It's the presence of the people in it. The way a groom adjusts his cuffs before walking towards his bride. The way a bride looks at him, knowing exactly who she's marrying. The way a couple holds each other when no one is watching.

When you imagine your wedding, what moments do you hope to actually remember?

19/04/2026

April arrived in Italy, and with it came something more than just warmer light.
It brought permission.

Most couples arrive at their wedding planning with a colour palette already decided.
Blush. Ivory. Gold. The expected choices.

But this couple arrived with something different — not a mood board, but a feeling.

They didn’t want to whisper. They wanted to celebrate. They wanted colours that felt alive, joyful, unapologetic about their presence.

And that’s where the design work begins.Because creating a wedding isn’t about imposing a vision. It’s about listening deeply to what a couple is asking for — sometimes without them even knowing how to say it — and then translating that into something tangible.

So we didn’t start with a palette. We started with a conversation.
What moves you? What colours make you feel present? What does joy actually look like when you stop editing yourself?

From there, the design unfolded.Coral instead of blush. Orange instead of gold. Pinks that felt like celebration, not restraint. The ceremony by the water became a moment of unapologetic colour and presence. The tables held the same intention — every detail, from the fruit to the flowers to the candlelight, was chosen because it spoke to who they are.

Even the cake — three tiers of simplicity, held by the colours that defined the day. Not decorated. Supported.

This is what happens when design listens before it creates.
When a wedding planner becomes a translator of desire. When the work is about understanding a couple so deeply that the aesthetic becomes inevitable, not imposed.

Your wedding doesn’t need to fit into anyone’s idea of what’s beautiful.
It needs to be true to who you are.
