I don’t know whether it’s because of the shoddy weather recently or the masses of people in the Mount , but I was much more grateful for a break away than usual this time.
Waiheke island is one of my favourite NZ gems of a location for all the things I love - wine, food , nature and wine again.
While we were there we discussed a few life and bizz goals for 2023 and decided that less pressure on ourselves this year was the way forward, and to ;
Be more assertive. Stop overthinking phone calls. We’d let go of one-sided friendships. Learn to invest and actually do it. Spend more money on professional learning and growth. Not feel guilty for taking a time out from the world for a while ( and I mean really take a time out - phone off). Provide a wider and larger platform in our events for more minorities and go on more adventures. Always more adventures 💚

BAR

The main bar at The Rising Tide will be open as well as the On-Deck Bar. We have moved the stage outside because of the bangin’ weather but you can boogie throughout the venue.
Free water will be available all throughout the night ( keep yourself hydraaaated) , Johnny's Dumpling House will have a limited hot food menu available and The Tide will have an Events Menu for the evening. This will include non alcoholics, a bunch of their most popular beers, ciders and RTDs, wine and bubbles.
The inside toilets as well as portaloos outside will all be accessible.

SMOKING AREA

Smoking and va**ng are prohibited inside, va**ng is fine on the deck, but cigarette smoking must be done on the driveway only.

HEALTH, SAFETY & SECURITY

Your safety is our top priority. Have all the fun, you deserve it, but be safe and look after your mates too. If you see anything suspicious, speak to the staff or security and we will make sure you are safe. If you see anything dodge, please do not hesitate to let us know.

And lastly, please do not drink and drive. Other than the fact there will be cop-stops everywhere, you are putting yourself and others lives at risk. We have let local taxi drivers and ubers know that the event ends at 1am, so there should be plenty outside waiting.

We’ve sold out over 3 weeks before NYE 2022, and we know the demand is HIGH, so with the amazing team at we’ve decided to give a late Christmas gift to 4 lucky peeps to join us on New Years Eve!

I am no food critic but wowza , Friday night’s are something else entirely . This was the first meal we had in a long time where every single dish was 💯- (got major Melbournian vibes) and the Organic wine list is 😍😍😍.

The last 6 months have been a whirrrrlwind 🌪️.
I couldn’t quite fit all the events on the post , but I am SO damn proud of each and every one of them.
After finishing up a valuable 6 years at and , I set off home to Europe for a few months not knowing what was next ( lil scary) and jumped in head first to my passions when I got back to Aotearoa soil in June.
Since then, I have met the most incredible people along the way , smashed out 4 successful Women on Tops , raised thousands of dolla for different charities and organisations, had an event with one of my fave Masters of Wine / had countless fan girl moments with Women on Top wāhine, have multiple contracts with local businesses and have secured some awesome work with large scale events for 2023 .
I’m so excited for more Blabla Events in the year ahead in different cities across the country, meeting more beautiful humans and having the opportunity to provide a safe, inspirational, inclusive and uplifting platform for our event-goers.

Next stop is New Years Eve to ring out the year , and that’s about to sell out!
