He started playing under the moniker YvesO in 2005 at the unforgettable parties in the first independent art space in Sofia – Studio Dauhaus, where he also was co-manager. Since then he became sort of a resident DJ at many art events and spaces in Sofia, like Plastelin, the fridge, the legendary Vlaikova, Sugar and Butchers amongst others. His tastes are eclectic. He's not afraid to switch between
genres and styles surprising even himself with new and different directions. His deep passion for house, techno and twisted electronica doesn't stop him to go from Japanese pop, Finish tango and Afro rock to Arab acid and French chanson in his long and colourful sets. Colourful, because he's also a award winning video artist and specialises in real-time VJ-ing, producing his own unique visuals for the different occasions and various collaborations. In the past 10 years he's played venues and festivals in Munich, Cologne, Bonn, Lisbon, London, Vienna, Bitola, Hamburg, Berlin, Istanbul, Skopje and most major Bulgarian cities. Nowadays he lives in Sofia, Bulgaria, where he's a media art curator and organizes different art events, most notably the Sofia Underground performance art festival and the ON! Media Arts project. No wonder if you've never heard of him. He's one of those guys, who consciously go under the radar most of the time. Even when he plays internationally, he remains strictly underground.
