Dankzij 10 jaar hands-on ervaring en een omvangrijke gereedschapskoffer bouwt Upside Down mee aan een inclusieve(re) community met respect voor de planeet. We are guests in the African-American music and dance culture. Everything we do is rooted in jazz and swing. That means: expression, co-creation and a sense of community. With 10 years of hands-on experience and an extensive toolkit, Upside Down builds towards a more inclusive community with respect for the planet. We share our insights during workshops and talks.

Woohoo, registration for Upside Down Festival 2025 is open 🌟
The Festival takes place 27 - 31 Dec in Ghent and is no doubt a unique way to kick off 2026 🎆🎉🥂

🌟we have Pick 'n' Mix activities!

🌟we have a fabulous group of inspirers - Tap con Kelly, Maria & Aurélien, Compagnie Tempo Tiempo and more to be shared soon!

🌟we have 5 steaming parties + pre & after party in the pub, so let's round it up to a FULL WEEK of partying shall we. Including tasters, performances, competitions and the whole shabang!

🌟we have 3 afternoons of jazz cafe with live music, a Daily Shake, a tap jam, secondhand shop, food & drinks, a library and more!

📣 Registration for Upside Down Festival will open on Wednesday August 6th, 2025 at 20.00 CET.

No raffle this time, so put an reminder in your agenda to sign up in time! We recommend you to:

👉 Create or update your account in the days ahead to speed up your registration process. This will be possible 1 week in advance.

👉 Read the information on the website carefully, including terms & conditions, and code of conduct. You might also want to learn about the sliding scale principle.

👉 If you sign up with a partner, have their email address ready.

👉 Use the flowchart to identify your preferences. There are plenty of options!

P.S Voor de Gentenaren/Belgen: geen congé meer op overschot? Als er nog plekken over zijn, bieden we lokale passen aan met weekend-, dag- en avondtickets. Ben je er bij voor het hele festival, schrijf je dan zeker in op 6 augustus!

Dit jaar is Upside Down mede-organisator van Dansen in 't Park, een hartverwarmend dansfestival vol initiaties, optredens en feestjes in Gent!

Je kan er - uiteraard - de beentjes losgooien op elk moment van het weekend, maar het is ook gewoon megagezellig vertoeven met vrienden, familie, een hapje en een drankje.

We trappen Dansen in ‘t Park 2025 af met een tap jam op live muziek 👞
