Dear protectores 🍃
You discovered him in the skin of the God of the Earth in our last post 🌎
Discover today another facet of our great and beautiful Marc PePe Mathieux of the The Black Sheep, Brussels 🔥
Great lover of culture and flavour, Marc is an avid traveller, and he took advantage of his time at TasteAsPassion to tell us about his latest adventures in Latin America 🙏
He tells us under what circumstances he discovered the 3 spirits of our concept "Amazonian Soul" 🐝🐸🌳
You can imagine that after several hours of talking and having fun, our two friends were a little bit tipsy 🙄
I will, therefore, give you more details on the adventures of Marc Mathieux below :
It was during his trip to Guyana that Marc Mathieux fell in love with El Dorado Demerara Rum 🌳
Indeed, during a well spiced and well surrounded Mashramani, the legend tells that he fell asleep at the end of the Carnival with a bottle in his arms.
The Guyana Carnival is also called Mashramani. Parade, music, games and food are all part of the celebration of the "Birth of the Republic" and its liberation from the Anglophone yoke 🎂
Even if he doesn't know how he got there. It was during the Carnival of Salvador de Bahia in Brazil that Marc tasted his first sip of Abelha Cachaça and learned his first steps in Afro dance 🐝
The carnival of Salvador de Bahia allows everyone to parade and celebrate the Brazilian Afro pride. In an exciting mix of different styles of Afro music all over the city, a car procession and 600,000 people mingle in the streets for a tasty mix 🚗
He didn't immediately understand why people were sending paint to his face when he arrived at the Cajamarca festival. However, he understood directly what he could do with a bottle of Amazonian Gin Company when he was introduced to this delicious beverage 🐸
Cajamarca people in Peru use to go out into the streets armed with paint and water to throw to any other person , even cars and the police, while singing “coplas”, humoristic songs relating the everyday life between men and women 🎶
