5 tracks that shaped my youth
· “Get-A-Way” by Maxx – My father came home with this on ‘Top hits 1993; I was 8 years old and was in love with the ultimate Eurodance record. I still put this on in the car when I’m heading for a party.
· “Universal Nation” by Push – On ‘Solid Sounds 7’ which I discovered via my nephew. I was 14-year-old, and a new world of trance and techno opened up.
· “Let The Funk Ride” by Aim – That infinite guitar riff; during my student days the heavy beats went to the background for a moment and made way for chilling at the dorm in Pauscollege (Leuven) with homies.
· “On Melancholy Hill” by Gorillaz – Nostalgia can feel so good. If I have to take one song with me to a plastic deserted island, it is this one.
· “The View From The Afternoon” by Arctic Monkeys –Even though I often play pop, deep inside of me you will hear rock.
