SMA is rooted in a shared passion to inspire the youth of Sreemangal to explore and embrace rock and metal music through live concert experiences featuring numerous esteemed bands from across Bangladesh. Founded in 2016 by Sheikh Sayeed Jahan Tapu and Sujoy Roy, who are also founders of the Sreemangal Band Association (SBA), the Sreemangal Metal Alliance (SMA) was born out of a passion to promote
and encourage Sreemangal’s youth to explore and be inspired by rock and metal music through live concert experiences featuring many great guest bands from all over Bangladesh. This groundbreaking initiative brought together passionate individuals to embark on a journey never before witnessed in the history of Sreemangal. Despite encountering numerous obstacles along the way, we found immense joy in overcoming each challenge. Our unwavering determination led to the participation of two renowned metal bands from Bangladesh, MECHANIX and WARSITE, alongside many bands from Dhaka, Chittagong, and Sylhet, gracing our event in 2016. This was followed by POWERSURGE in 2017, along with many bands from Dhaka, Chittagong, and Sylhet, adding immense energy and excitement to the occasion. In 2018, we welcomed THRASH, the powerhouse from Dhaka, along with our local bands, further solidifying our event as a highlight in the metal music scene.
