সময়ের সাথে সাথে অনেক কিছুর পরিবর্তন হয়, অনেক কিছু সময়ের স্রোতে হারিয়েও যায়। কিন্তু স্মৃতিগুলো কখনো মুছে যায় না। একসাথে কাটানো সেই সুন্দর মুহূর্তগুলো আমৃত্যু হৃদয়ের মাঝে রয়ে যায় অমলিনভাবে। ভালোবাসা, ভালোলাগা, স্বপ্ন বোনা- কাছে পাওয়া কিংবা না পাওয়ার অনুভূতিগুলো মিলিয়েই তো গড়ে ওঠে আমাদের জীবন।

আর সেই ভালোবাসার অনুভূতিকে আরও গভীরভাবে ছুঁয়ে যেতে, এক অনিন্দ্য সুন্দর কবিতা 'মনে থাকবে' এবং তার তালে তালে 'ভালোবাসার মরশুম' গানে সাজানো একটি পরিবেশনা নিয়ে আসছে তৃতীয় বর্ষের চন্দ্রবিন্দু ও জুয়াইরিয়া ✨

জেনেটিক ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং এন্ড বায়োটেকনোলজি ডিপার্টমেন্টের অ্যালামনাইরা যে শুধু রিসার্চ কিংবা একাডেমিক দিক থেকেই দশে দশ, তা কিন্তু নয় বরং সাংস্কৃতিক দিকেও তাঁরা রেখে যাচ্ছেন নিজের প্রতিভার দ্যুতি।

GEB প্রথম ব্যাচের সুমাইয়া আপুই যেন তার প্রকৃষ্ট উদাহরণ। চলুন, আপুর সুরেলা কণ্ঠে শুনে নেয়া যাক দুটি অনবদ্য প্রেমময় রবীন্দ্রসঙ্গীত!❤️

'মুক্তির মন্দির' এটি শুধু একটি গান নয়, এটি যেন আমাদের পরিচয়, আমাদের ইতিহাসেরই সাক্ষরবাহী। দেশের জন্য যে আমরা আমাদের প্রাণকে উৎসর্গ করতেও দুবার ভাববো না– এই গান যেন আমাদের সেটিই মনে করিয়ে দেয়।

আমাদের ২৫ বছর পূর্তি অনুষ্ঠানের সাংস্কৃতিক আয়োজনের সূচনা হয় 'মুক্তির মন্দির' গানটির মাধ্যমে। বিজয়ের মাসে এই গানটি দিয়ে শুরু না করলে হয়ত পুরো আয়োজনটিই অসম্পূর্ণ থেকে যেত!

শ্রদ্ধাজ্ঞাপন করছি মুক্তিযুদ্ধে জীবন উৎসর্গকারী লাখ লাখ শহিদদের প্রতি, হাজারো সাহসী মা-বোনদের প্রতি যাঁরা দেশকে রেখেছিলেন সবার উর্ধ্বে! শ্রদ্ধাজ্ঞাপন করছি ২৪ এর জুলাই গণঅভ্যুত্থানে শহিদ সকলের প্রতি– যাঁরা ছিলেন অন্যায়ের প্রতি বজ্রকঠিন এবং দেশপ্রেমিক সকলকে– যাঁদের কাছে আমাদের এই মাতৃভূমি 'বাংলাদেশ' সবকিছুর উপরে...

On the afternoon of the 24th, the cultural segment of our 25th Anniversary Celebration began. The program opened with a short documentary on the department, setting a warm and nostalgic mood. This was followed by a series of beautiful cultural performances by current students, alumni, and members of the department.

As the winter evening deepened, the atmosphere became even more lively with a mesmerizing performance by the popular Bangladeshi band Joler Gaan. Soon after, the band Bondis took the stage, adding more energy and color to the celebration.

The evening continued with more cultural performances and came to a joyful close with an entertaining mimicry act.

Though the program ended, but don't be disappointed. The celebration will continue—more performances and moments will be shared on this page regularly.

The main program of our 25th Anniversary officially commenced on 24 December. With the heartfelt participation of students, faculty members, alumni, invited guests, and staff, the celebration unfolded in a vibrant and memorable atmosphere.

The occasion was honored by the presence of Professor Dr. Anwarul Azim Akhand, Professor Dr. Md. Enamul Haque, Professor Dr. Mamun Ahmed, Professor Dr. Nazmul Ahsan, Professor Dr. Haseena Khan– the founding Chairperson of the department, Professor Dr. Sabina Yasmin– the Convener of the 25th Anniversary celebration, and Professor Dr. Abu Ashfaqur Sajib– the current Chairperson of the department, along with other esteemed faculty members.

The program began with warm welcome addresses from the distinguished guests. This was followed by the ceremonial cutting of the 25th Anniversary cake, marking a proud milestone in the department’s journey. On this special occasion, Biogen and the commemorative souvenir were officially unveiled. Subsequently, former faculty members were honored, each sharing heartfelt reflections and memories from their time with the department. The segment concluded with the Freshers’ Reception and Graduation Ceremony, where the invited guests presented crests to the graduating students and first-year entrants.

A uniquely engaging session followed, where alumni from each batch introduced themselves with joy, humor, and shared nostalgia, filling the venue with laughter and warmth. Soon after, the entire department came together for a celebratory rally. Marching with enthusiasm from Mukarram Bhaban through Raju Sculpture to TSC, the procession culminated in the festive release of balloons and festoons at TSC, symbolically declaring the inauguration of the 25th Anniversary celebrations.

Thus, the first phase of the program on 24 December concluded with grandeur, unity, and an overwhelming sense of pride—marking the beginning of a historic celebration for our beloved department.

The ceremonial journey of our much-anticipated 25th Anniversary Celebration began with an Outreach Program. More than a hundred students from 18 renowned colleges of Dhaka enthusiastically took part in this program.

The event commenced with a laboratory visit, where students were introduced to various experiments through hands-on demonstrations. These activities were designed to ignite their curiosity and nurture a love for science. A quiz competition was also arranged for them, adding an element of excitement and engagement. Alongside this, a poster presentation session continued until noon, where students of the department presented a range of fascinating topics to the visiting college students.
Later, the department’s students presented another engaging segment titled 3 Minutes Presentation, where they attempted to explain complex biological concepts in a simple and understandable way within just three minutes. Following this, two senior faculty members— Professor Dr. Sharif Akhtaruzzaman and Professor Dr. Sabina Yasmin— delivered their insightful keynote speeches. The program concluded with a prize-giving ceremony for each segment.

Throughout the entire event, we were honored by the presence of our distinguished guest Professor Dr. Nazmul Ahsan, the esteemed Chairman of the department Professor Dr. Abu Ashfaqur Sajib, Professor Dr. Miraj Kobad Chowdhury, Dr. Mahbubur Rashid, Dr. Mustak Ibn Ayub, along with other respected faculty members, whose support and guidance enriched the occasion immensely.
