Green Flash friends please support the mediathon this afternoon spearheaded by the Government of Barbados and all the media houses in 🇧🇧 to raise funds to help our brothers and sisters in the 🇧🇸 following the devastation they suffered during hurricane Dorian.

This approach is in response to the specific needs as requested by the Government of the Bahamas.

Importantly it reflects the realisation in the region that we need to help ourselves in times of crisis.

Once the mediathon starts at 1500hrs this afternoon we’ll be able to make our contributions online.

There is a mediathon this afternoon spearheaded by the government and all the media house in 🇧🇧 to raise funds to help our brothers and sisters in the 🇧🇸.

This is in response to the needs as discussed directly between the governments of the region.

Importantly it reflects the new realisation that we need to helps ourselves in such time of crisis rather than relying solely on outside help.

Once mediathon starts at 1500 the afternoon we’ll be able to make make contributions online.

We are looking forward to seeing you onboard tomorrow but first some instructions.

Dear Green Flash Sailors,

1. This year the cruise will be departing from the dock at the flour mill complex. There is adequate parking which will be supervised by security personnel at the site.

2. Boarding will commence at 6pm sharp and so that the partying time at sea is not reduced we encourage all sailors to arrive on time. To ensure your safety on-board the use of metal detectors and searches of coolers shall be conducted by our security staff.

3. Kindly have your drinks decanted to non-glassware bottles before arriving for the boarding process as the Green Flash Team will not be providing plastic bottles. We wish to support the efforts being made to reduce the possibility of unnecessary plastics in the marine environment.

Your safety and enjoyment is paramount to us and we therefore encourage you to follow the directions of all security personnel before and during the cruise. We always have fun and this year is no different.

Looking forward to sailing with the Green Flash Sailors again.
