15 years in the making.

Can you believe this gorgeous couple is already 15 years and 3 kids deep!?

I had the absolute privilege of marrying Chloe and Jesse on Saturday.

Meticulously planned and executed, not even pesky rain could dampen the vibes on this joyful and fun day.

I wish I could have stayed for the dancefloor. 💃🏻 🪩 🕺🏽

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Harris!

Yesterday, the wet weather plan for Bria and Ben seemed to be a certainty. It rained all day and into the night, delaying the rehearsal and disrupting all of the well laid plans and preparation for the couple’s big day. When I spoke to Bria last night though, it was clear that a bit of rain wasn’t going to dampen her or Ben’s excitement for the fun filled day ahead.

Today, it was overcast and the forecast wasn’t looking the best. On my drive to Hodgson Vale, I was watching the ominous clouds get closer and closer.

When I pulled up to the ceremony site to unload my speaker, I was pleasantly surprised at how dry the ground was. The morning sun had dried the previous day’s downpour.

The rain held off, and an overcast sky meant the bridal party weren’t squinting through the ceremony.

In a serendipitous gesture from Bria’s dearly departed Nan, the sun broke through the clouds and shone on the newly married couple as they shared their first kiss.

Love always finds a way to weather any storm. Despite the ominous clouds, Bria and Ben’s wedding day was filled with warmth, joy, and laughter.

Here’s to a lifetime of sunny days and endless love. 💕 ☀️

I’ve been lucky enough to marry several couples that have been friends or family, which has been a real delight.

When Alison and Sabrina asked me to be their celebrant, I could not wait to be a part of their day.

From the early days of their relationship, I got to see their love blossom and grow.

I knew a lot of the faces in the room on the big day, and I knew enough about the couple to write a ceremony script that felt like them.

Tears filled my eyes as they both walked down the aisle and again when they said their vows.

I thought it might be hard to feel the love in a ceremony for a couple I didn’t know well.

Fast forward to today, when I married Grace and Harry. I’ve only met a couple of times and I’ve only witnessed a snapshot of their love.

And still tears welled in my eyes as the groom saw the bride. They threatened to overflow when the couple read their vows.

So it turns out, no matter how familiar the love is, if the magic is there, I’ll feel it. 💗
