We love a little take home gift after an event in our house! We try to make it a little practical, a little fun, and obviously a little treat.

We especially love something that helps continue the theme and encourage a bit of imagination and play.

When the teenager is bored and wants to put together price list for me, I will definitely not say no! School holidays can have its perks. 🤣

My kids have come up with some interesting party themes over the years! They definitely like to be creative and think of something outside the box. Of course I’m always just as happy to be creative and we end up with a whole new themed party set up! (Mamma Mia party, anyone?)

Over the years we’ve done so many themes, I think last count, we could offer over 50, so it’s been a big job sorting out what our Party in a Box themes would be.

I think dinosaurs would probably be our most booked theme since we started, one weekend we had 3 Dino parties in a row! 🤣
So what we want to know is, what are the top DIY themes you’d love to see us box up? 🎉

Life is definitely feeling more hectic than usual at at the moment. Between birthday celebrations, school events, extra curricular commitments, it’s a little busy. 🤣

Imagine after a big week, you come home to your next celebration delivered to your door. 🎉 Children’s chairs and tables, table cloth, plates and cups and a couple games or activities to keep the party guests busy, all just sitting at your door!

You then get to set up in your own time, include the birthday child in their party planning, but you haven’t had to plan anything. Just decide on one of our 12 themes and tell us when and where.

Not sure how we pulled this one off, but we got there! 🤣

Puzzles, clues, invisible ink, museum rules, locks and codes, it was a day of absolute chaos and fun.

Our now 9 year old had the best time finding all the movie references and putting it altogether to find the magical tablet.

They made miniature museum exhibits and raced remote control trucks with a bone for Rexy to chase.

Not sure Escape Rooms are something we’ll do again, but it was good fun planning it. Thank goodness my oldest son was taking pics for me, because I always forget - and this was a HUGE project! 🤣

Bringing Henry’s Museum of Natural History to life - thank goodness my children enjoy a party set up day.

As a I make a plan for a party, we have boxes that we pop everything into so a set up day is really easy. It is also great when we know we don’t have much time for set up, any of us are able to grab things out when we’ve got 5 minutes to be able to do a job or 2!

That’s our idea behind the DIY boxes - when you’ve got 5 minutes or just need to get it done quick, it’s all there ready to go, with a plan. It takes the stress out and makes it easy and fun. 🎉

Every detail counts! 💙

When the invites had to be a puzzle full of clues to work out, just to get the party details, my kiddo was definitely setting the standard high for me. 🤣

So now, every part of the party is a small part of a large puzzle, all somehow coming back to Night in the Museum… I’m still not sure I can pull this one off. 🤣 For now though, the security guards will all have their ID and keys - attached tightly, so Dexter can’t steal them. Even the party bags have a small puzzle to work out. (Will people actually come to another party at our house? 🤣) I’ll always go above and beyond to add a little extra sparkle where I can, but this week, I think I’m doing it to avoid designing an escape room. 🎉
