🎉Looking forward to bidding farewell to 2024 with a bang tomorrow at the NYE by the Lake community celebration at Lake Orr, Varsity Lakes! Come on down and join in the free fun at the Waterfront Stage - Varsity Promenade - in Varsity Lakes.

⛅ WEATHER:
Sunny periods with possibility of a thunderstorm. Whatever the weather, best to dress for the conditions on the day, and come down ready to support the local groups, performers and stallholders!

🅿️🚕 TRAVEL
This is a local event for the local community so we encourage attendees to walk/scooter/bike to the event area. There is limited car parking around the venue so please use public transport or ride share if active travel is not possible. In the interest of community safety and to avoid parking infringements, please follow the City Parking Signage and Guidelines. Please do not park at Bond University as this is already allocated for students, staff and permit holders and infringement notices will apply.

It's a FREE EVENT. Tickets are not required and there is no live stream so please be aware of clicking on fake links, or communicating with other user accounts other than the event organiser official account.

✨ New Year's Eve by the Lake 2024 will feature a fireworks display to finish at approximately 8:30pm this Tuesday 31st December at Lake Orr, Varsity Lakes. Please ensure if you have any pets in the area, they are safe and secure.

If you have an anxious pet, here are some tips from the RSPCA QLD:

🏠 Keep your dog or cat indoors if possible.
🧑‍ Direct supervision is important.
👀 Close the blinds & curtains to decrease visual stimuli.
🍖 Distract with games or food.
🆔 Make sure your pet has an ID tag, & is chipped with contact details up-to-date.
