Community Christmas Celebration

After a site inspection this morning, the decision has been made to cancel Christmas at Frascott 2024. Unfortunately both the grass areas and pathways are completely waterlogged and we cannot set up any of the infrastructure required nor provide a safe event area for suppliers or patrons.

We’re gutted we couldn’t deliver the event but appreciate and thank those involved and look forward to better luck next year.

🎉 Looking forward to an awesome day this Sunday 1st December at Christmas at Frascott 2024. Come on down and join in the free festive fun at Varsity Lakes!

Special thanks to Division 11 Councillor Dan Doran - City of Gold Coast for hosting the event, alongside community supporters Varsity Lakes Community Resource Centre.

☁️⛅ WEATHER:
Occasional morning rain, otherwise cloudy and humid. Best to dress for the weather conditions on the day, and come down ready to support the local groups, performers and stallholders!

🅿️🚕 TRAVEL
This is a local event for the local community so we encourage attendees to walk/scooter/bike to the event area. There is limited car parking around the venue so please use public transport or ride share if active travel is not possible. In the interest of community safety and to avoid parking infringements, please follow the City Parking Signage and Guidelines.

🛑❌ SOCIALS - TICKETS & STREAMING:
It's a FREE EVENT. Tickets are not required and there is no live stream so please be aware of clicking on fake links, or communicating with other user accounts other than the event organiser official account.

Unless you're arriving by sleigh 😉, we highly recommend that attendees use active travel to Christmas at Frascott 2024. 🎄 Parking is limited around the venue and on nearby streets, so we encourage everyone to consider using public transport or ride-sharing when possible.

Thanks to Councillor Dan Doran City of Gold Coast we will have free ‘Santa Express’ train rides around the beautiful Frascott Park on Sunday 1st December 2024!

🎉 Come and enjoy an afternoon of festive celebration at this year’s Christmas at Frascott at Varsity Lakes! 🎄

Presented by Division 11 Councillor Dan Doran – City of Gold Coast, this free event 🆓 on Sunday 1st December will begin at 4pm with area entertainment throughout Frascott Park including trackless train rides 🚂, animal farm 🐔👩‍🌾, snow zone fun ❄️, plus heaps of market and craft stalls 🛒 alongside tasty food trucks!🌯

Main stage entertainment commences at 5pm with Christmas carols 🎶, community performances 🥁, a laser light show ⚡ and a special appearance from Santa! 🎅
