We are proud to congratulate Jessica Tzaferis on being awarded the 2026 TAS & SA Racing Woman of the Year in Gold Coast. In her acknowledgement of the invaluable work carried out behind the scenes, we also commend the dedicated team who supported her journey. Congratulations to everyone involved, and we wish the Tzaferis Racing team continued success.

Thomas Farms Racecourse Murray Bridge conducts it's second race meet of the New Year and its a nice 8 race card. With the rail out 5.5m with the 1200m chute out 3m.

With the forecast being a welcome 23 degrees, our Track Staff have done a great job this week tackling the intense heat that we encountered this week.
8mm of irrigation has been put onto the course proper in the last 24hrs (with more being added), and 55mm in the past seven days,
The track is rated a Good 4, and after walking the track with Chairman of Stewards today he rated the track as a Soft 5 at that time.

With eight races to last the day, we've brought along kid's activities, live music, as well as the atmosphere we all love to be apart of. We bring in the New Year with a nice 7 race card at Thomas Farms Racecourse Murray Bridge. With a quick turn around of racing this month, the rail has gone out 10m and horses will be racing on a fresh pad of turf.

52mm of irrigation has been put onto the course proper for the past seven day, including 5mm in the last 24 hours. The Kikuyu turf has responded generously to a stringent turf management regime and recent warm weather has provided good dense cover.

With soaring temperatures across SA this week, our track team have been working hard to ensure the racing surface is at its best for metropolitan racing on Saturday.

60mm of irrigation has been applied to the track in the last seven days, including 10mm in the last 24 hours. Further irrigation will be applied tonight.

The Kikuyu is really starting to thrive. It has been tipped at 6 inches, in line with other major tracks in Australia with a similar turf profile.

The running rail is +3m between the 900m-400m and in the True position for the remainder of the track.

It is expected the track will race as a Good 4 for Race 1.
