We are thrilled to welcome Dr Atmanand M A, Guest Professor at Indian Institute of Technology Madras (Chennai), as Session Chair and Speaker for the theme “Blue Economy Foundations & India’s Strategic Plan” at our upcoming Blue India 2026 Conference.

Dr Atmanand brings over 40 years of experience in ocean science and technology, deep-sea instrumentation, underwater systems and blue-economy research.

As Session Chair, Dr Atmanand will steer the discussions on how India’s blue economy is being conceptualized and operationalized—covering policy, infrastructure, innovative technologies and strategic investments.

In his Speaker role, he will deliver a keynote address focused on “India’s Strategic Plan for the Blue Economy” — drawing on his extensive experience in deep-sea tech, ocean observation systems and maritime innovation.
We are confident that his leadership will elevate the session to new heights—offering deep insights, thought leadership and regional relevance especially for South & Southeast Asia.

Announcement: Session Chair & Call for Abstracts https://blueindiaconference.com/

We are delighted to announce that Dr Usha Titus IAS, Chairperson & Managing Director of ASAP Kerala and Ex officio Secretary to the Government of Kerala, will serve as Session Chair for the Science, Technology & Capacity Building track of Blue India 2026 (27–29 April 2026, Hyderabad India).

Dr Titus is an IAS officer of the 1993 batch in the Kerala cadre, having completed her MBBS at CMC Vellore and an MD in General Medicine.

She broke new ground as the first woman District Collector of Palakkad and Kozhikode.

Her notable roles include Secretary of the Kerala government’s departments of Medical Education, Social Welfare, Non-Resident Keralite Affairs, Power, Environment, School & Higher Education.

She also served as Registrar of IIT Madras and as Vice-Chancellor of Kerala Technological University and Malayalam University.

In 2010, she was deputed to the Government of India as Joint Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs (Ministry of Finance), handling the Multilateral Relations Division and contributing to the G20 negotiations (2010-15) and the establishment of the BRICS New Development Bank & the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.

Since February 2021 she has led ASAP Kerala, which under her guidance has gained recognition by NCVET as an assessing body & awarding agency and features in the India Skills Reports of 2022 & 2024. ASAP Kerala is ISO 21001:2018 certified and holds Form-CSR 1, 12A and 80G registrations.

We are delighted to announce that Dr Manoj. M. Sharma. has been confirmed as a Keynote Speaker at the upcoming Blue India 2026 — International Conference & Expo on the Blue Economy, scheduled for 27–29 April 2026 in Hyderabad, India.

With over 30 years of hands-on experience in sustainable shrimp-farming, he has been a pioneering force in transforming coastal (khar) wasteland in Gujarat’s Surat district into highly productive shrimp farms — covering more than 6,000 ha and creating economic opportunities for thousands of rural fishers.

His academic credentials include a PhD in Fisheries Science (Shrimp Farming) from Swami Ramanand Teerth University, Nanded, Maharashtra and an M.F.Sc. in Fisheries Management from Central Institute of Fisheries Education (Deemed University, ICAR), Mumbai.

Join him and a global gathering of policymakers, industry leaders and researchers at Blue India 2026 — an event designed to advance India’s blue-economy agenda and foster collaboration across marine and aquatic sectors.
