I don’t often bring flowers inside of my own home. I guess I admire them everyday in my work, so I don’t feel that I need to. Sometime though, a flower catches my eye and I can’t let her go. This is one of those flowers. An Aussie grown beauty and everything a rose should be in my eyes. Ruffles, blousy, fragrant, colour, the need to poke my nose into it to see what I can see amongst the petals. Last week I brought in a few stems of the prettiest purple kangaroo paws. I watched over the days how the petals unfolded, how the colours changed and how each stem relaxed into the small vase I arranged them in. Beauty doesn’t have to be a huge bunch of flowers, it can simply be one small bloom. If a flowers calls for you, take the time to admire it, watch it and enjoy its presence. It’s the small things….🎀
