This Summer on the Mountain event was such a beautiful reminder of how powerful thoughtful styling and creative collaboration can be.

Sam & Mike 🤍
 A micro wedding in Brisbane that proves small doesn’t mean simple — it means intentional.
Their day was the most beautiful intimate home gathering, filled with laughter, happy tears, and that unmistakable feeling of being completely surrounded by love. A front yard ceremony, their favourite people close by, and a space that truly felt like home.

By choosing a small home wedding, Sam & Mike were able to slow everything down. A first look meant more time with guests, one relaxed location kept the day flowing with ease, and personal touches (Mike’s Mazda, and Taco the very handsome dachshund 🐾) made the celebration unmistakably them.

This is the magic of micro weddings — less rushing, more connection, and a day that feels warm, real, and deeply personal.

Brisbane micro wedding magic ✨

James & Mackenzie’s day was the perfect reminder that intimate doesn’t mean small on feeling. With 58 guests in total, every moment felt intentional, relaxed, and full of love.

They said their vows at The Bethnal, Newstead, using the space for both their ceremony and reception, surrounded by family and close friends (and some very important group photos that their aunts and uncles will be talking about for years 🥹).

One of my favourite moments was Mackenzie’s first look with her dad before the ceremony — quiet, emotional, and so full of heart. And once the formalities were done? The party truly kicked off with wood-fired pizza, cold beers, and all the good vibes.

James and Mackenzie met through work and sealed the deal with a first date at Strike Bowling and Holey Moley — which feels very on brand for the fun, grounded energy they brought to their wedding day.

Some moments leave me quietly changed.

Zo and Natalia’s elopement wasn’t just about vows, it was about honouring each other in the most beautifully personal way. Their words to one another were so raw and special that I don’t think I could ever do them justice here — but what I witnessed was a version of togetherness I hadn’t quite seen before.

It was untraditional, unapologetic, and deeply intentional. A celebration that placed individuality and creativity right alongside love and commitment.

What a gift to be invited into this story.

✨ Micro weddings aren’t small… they’re just packed with all the good stuff (love, connection + meaning).

Ruby + Sadie’s Maleny elopement was everything a Sunshine Coast micro wedding should be—wholesome, heartfelt, and full of love. 🌿

First meeting in Berlin during the pandemic, bonding over chilly lockdown walks and deep conversations. Fast forward a few years, Ruby proposed on a trip back to Australia, and while they’ve already tied the knot overseas, this day was all about celebrating their love at home with their closest people.

The location couldn’t have been more perfect—Ruby grew up in the hinterland, and Sadie had always dreamed of visiting the Australian rainforest as a child. Little did she know her future wife was once running barefoot under that very same canopy. 💚

What made the day extra special? Their family + friends helped with the decorations and prep, creating such an authentic, down-to-earth vibe. Nothing over-styled, just love, laughter, and the kind of joy you can feel in every photograph.

Brides, let’s talk about the getting ready portion of your wedding day! This is where the excitement builds, the glam happens, and some of the most beautiful, emotional moments unfold.

I’ve worked with some incredible makeup artists, but one that truly stands out is Valentina from on the Sunshine Coast. She has next-level time management skills, which means:

✨ Ally & Matt – Childhood Besties to Mind-Reading Soulmates ✨

Okay, but imagine meeting your future fiancé in Grade 1 and having no idea you’d end up here?! That’s Ally & Matt’s love story, and honestly, we’re all just living in their rom-com. 🎬💘
Ally thought Matt was a lovely, respectful boy (aww), while Matt’s first impression? “Cute.” Classic. 😂 Fast forward to today, and these two are still the perfect mix of playful & romantic, pulling pranks, reading each other’s minds (seriously, they have a whole Black Magic thing going on 👀), and debating between adventuring out or Netflix + choccy. Spoiler: choccy usually wins. 🍫📺
If their love had a soundtrack, it’d be Tennessee Whiskey by Chris Stapleton, and honestly, their whole session had thatkind of energy—smooth, soulful, and full of all the good vibes. 🥃✨
