Flowers bring comfort. They carry words when words are not enough. Flowers are a reminder that you are cared for, loved and appreciated. They can also be a moment to pause, to remember and to reflect.

There is so much more than flowers in this beautiful remembrance arrangement.

The benefits of working with the seasons.

Stunning blooms. Gorgeous colours. Blooming as they should be.

That should be enough.

Movement creates magic.

In nature, nothing is static. Flowers bend in the wind, stems shift.

I creating designs that allow for movement. That might be in the way stems are placed, the negative space or the contrast between light and texture within the design.

Poppies are the perfect example of this. Their petals catch the light so softly, and their natural movement brings life to any arrangement.

They are stunning at the moment and if I could add a poppy to every design, I would!

Have you noticed how some arrangements feel more alive than others?

Flowers don’t grow in straight lines.

They weave and curve and intertwine.

I’m constantly observing how plants grow; how some reach towards the light, how some tumble, how different textures create depth and interest naturally.

So you won’t see perfectly symmetrical flowers in my arrangements, or the evenly spaced blooms.

Because nature isn’t like that.

It’s this approach that gives my work its garden-inspired aesthetic. Layered, expressive and a little untamed.

Because some of the most beautiful designs are those that feel as though they’ve grown exactly where they belong.

Save this if you live garden-inspired florals.

While I am designing an arrangement, colour is only one piece of the puzzle.

I’m also considering texture, shape, scale and movement, and how each flower will interact with those around it.

A delicate flower beside something bold creates contrast. A trailing stem introduces movement. Interesting textures add depth and help a design feel more natural and layered.

These small decisions are what transforms a collection of beautiful flowers into a cohesive floral design.

It’s one of the reasons my work is so deeply influenced by the garden, where no two plants grow in exactly the same way.

Locally-grown roses are the only kind I buy.

Why?

Well, apart from NOT being dipped in toxic chemicals so they are safe to import and NOT traveling across the globe…

…AND supporting local farmers and fair wages…

Locally-grown garden roses have character, they are as a rose should be full of fine nuances, sweet details and they have a gorgeous scent.

You can actually stop to smell the roses.

The sweetest little bout to match the bouquet…

It’s the little things that matter. All the details that come together to create the perfect feeling.

What’s influencing my winter designs?

Local blooms. Winter forest textures. Colour palettes including white, green & brown. Small details that keep you looking and bring a smile to your face.

I loved creating this winter-inspired bridal bouquet. All the wintry feels with pops of cooler-toned pinks and peach.

If you’re after a bouquet that’s a little bit different, handcrafted with care, with added warmth and whimsical moments, get in touch to chat.

Wreaths are one of my favourite things to create. So much potential and gorgeous little details.

And, they aren’t just for Christmas. They are a beautiful way to bring long-lasting flowers into your home. A lovely way to welcome guests and a reminder of our connection to each other.

Let me know what you think about wreaths!
