Who else is still obsessed with her iconic style? Honestly, we’d wear fruit on our heads every day if we could!

Carmen Miranda was known as “The Brazilian Bombshell” and became Hollywood’s highest-paid actress in the 1940s.

Her signature fruit hat debuted in the 1943 film The Gang's All Here and quickly became a global fashion statement.

She was the first Latin American star to be invited to leave her handprints at the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Beyond the bold costumes and catchy samba beats, Carmen was a proud ambassador for Brazilian culture and helped popularize Latin music worldwide.

Her legacy lives on in every colourful outfit, joyful dance, and playful headpiece. Viva Carmen! 🍌🍉🍒

Our Story

Let’s Dance Latin Dance Academy is the Sunshine Coast’s premier dance institution teaching a variety of specialised latin dance for kids, teens, adults and seniors. Offering upward of 30 classes per week out of their Maroochydore studio, and now 4 classes each week in Noosa, they teach beginners through to advanced levels.

Let’s Dance Latin Dance Academy employs highly qualified and experienced teachers from Australia, Spain, Brazil and Uruguay providing unmatched authenticity to their classes. At Let’s Dance Latin we incorporate appreciation of culture, history and musical rhythms into our curriculum to provide an inclusive learning experience to our students.

Our services include: Weekly Classes, Private Lessons, Wedding & Hen’s Night Packages, Entertainment Packages, Performance Teams as well as Competition preparation for individuals and groups - amateur to pro!
