📸 Things are getting weird at Red Tree Theatre... 😜

Our cast has a lot of feelings about being part of Wyong Writes — and they’re not afraid to show it! From chaotic comedy to simmering drama, this double bill of original one-act plays by Central Coast playwright Sally Bartley is a wild ride of local talent and big emotions.

🎭 Co-produced by Red Tree Theatre and Wyong Drama Group, this laugh-out-loud and thought-provoking showcase features:

🗣️ A special chat with writer Sally Bartley, as she shares the inspiration behind her plays and the process of bringing stories to life on stage.

🎬 Walk a Mile – directed by Ron Baker
A friendly dinner party unravels as secrets are spilled and friendships are tested.

🎭 One Crowded Hour – directed by Sancia West
With the One Act Play Festival deadline looming, director Martyn is on the edge. His cast of divas and wannabes just can’t stick to the script — or the time limit.

🎭 BILLY ELLIOT THE MUSICAL – CHILDREN’S AUDITIONS UPDATE! 🎭

We had some great talent at our first audition and we’re continuing to seek talented young performers for the following roles in Billy Elliot the Musical: Billy, Michael, Debbie, Small Boy, Tall Boy and the Ballet Girls.

🗓 AUDITION DATE: SUNDAY 1 JUNE 2025 at Red Tree Theatre.
👧 Girls: 9:00am – 10:30am
👦 Boys: 10:30am – 12:30pm

REHEARSAL UPDATE
Due to valuable feedback, we’ve adjusted our rehearsal days and times to better support our cast and their families.

📅 NEW REHEARSAL SCHEDULE
Tuesdays: 6:30pm – 9:00pm
Sundays: 12:00pm – 4:00pm
First rehearsal: Sunday 8 June, 12:00pm – 4:00pm

🎭 Ensemble children will mainly be called for Sunday rehearsals, with the occasional Tuesday night.

🔔 Please note:
• This production includes strong coarse language and mature themes, including references to violence.
• Not all cast members will be required at every rehearsal.

The One Act Play Festival is looming, and Martyn’s theatrical masterpiece is still running ten minutes over. With a cast of divas and wannabes pushing his patience (and the time limit), will he find a way to trim the drama and claim the trophy?
