If you're reading this, it's probably your fault that I'm stressed.
On New Years Day, I made a video on socials that said what we were looking forward to bringing to the area in 2026. I said that 2026 for us would bring:
-More music for karaoke
-More DJs and event hosts
-More Trivia
More music for karaoke was easy enough. The program we use for karaoke is always updating, and I'm always keen to track hard to find karaoke versions down on other places - such as "Keith" by Playlunch. As for more hosts, I thought sure, I can get one or two more people that would be keen, bringing us to 3. We've got 5 now, including myself. In regards to the trivia, in addition to the super successful Stranger Things event and Spider-Man event we've put on this year, we've also had a handful of wonderfully fun private events that have gone off very well - not to mention we're international, with our events being held in the USA and plans being laid for Ireland and Canada as well.
We've got 5 people at Rhyno Events right now in various capacities, 8 weekly gigs, and have expanded so much that (in addition to that sick international pull 😎) I'm currently having to look into storage options for all of our equipment.
We've got so much on deck for you guys still through the remainder of this year, but also quite a few plans for the future. If you're reading this, I just want to say thank you. To everyone who's played even a little part in our growth this year, thank you. People keep mentioning that they're blown away by how much it's grown in the last year, but I don't feel like it sometimes. Sometimes I just think this is business as usual, par for the course, nothing fancy. I've never thought of myself as a super shrewd businessman or anything - I wanted to make a karaoke/events company and I did. Impressive or not, I can't say - but regardless, I'm thankful for everything all of you has done to help Rhyno Events get to where it is today.
So like I said at the beginning, if you're reading this, it's probably because of you i'm stressing. Stressing every day about some new bit of equipment I need to order, or some new gig I need to get one of my hosts ready for - or stressing because I probably already need to train a sixth one! And you know what? Thank you. For all of it. I love what I do, and it's because of you guys I get to now do it full-time. Thank you, all of you. For helping me do something everyday that stresses me out, but more importantly something that I love doing and that I wouldn't trade for the world.
PS: it doesn't really stress me out - in journalism, that's called "a hook"
