Aussies make it through qualifying at the 2026 Singapore Open! 🇸🇬

After competing at the Malaysian Open last week, the boys are now in Singapore continuing their overseas campaign.

Corner Pin Standings sponsored athlete Sam Cooley has earnt a valuable bye straight into Round 2 after an impressive 3rd place finish in the overseas qualifying pool.

Needing one last opportunity to advance, CPS x Struddys ambassador Bernie Grueso Jnr entered the final Desperado qualifying squad for a shot at the Stage 1 Finals. With the top 4 single high games progressing, Bernie delivered a clutch 248 game to finish 2nd and book his spot in the finals.

Shout out also to Luke Doyle from North Queensland for making it through to the Stage 1 Finals! It’s fantastic to see Australians achieving great things on the international stage 👏🏻

AMBASSADOR ANNOUNCEMENT 🎳

We are excited to announce a new addition to our Struddys X Corner Pin Standings Ambassador list for 2026! Please welcome Cristian Mardones from New South Wales!

Cristian burst onto the Australian bowling scene and quickly established himself as one of the country’s most respected competitors. In just 5½ years in the sport, he has built an impressive résumé, including five perfect 300 games. His first came at the NSW Open, one of Australia’s most competitive tournaments, and he also recorded a remarkable 803 series at the 2024 NSW State Championships.

Cristian was co-captain of the NSW Rachuig Team and delivered standout performances at the 2023 Australian Masters and ANC24, where he further cemented his reputation on the national stage and earned the respect of bowlers across the country.

Known for his resilience, positive attitude, and passion for the sport, Cristian is not only a talented athlete but also a fantastic ambassador for bowling.

Widely regarded as a gentleman of the sport and well respected by his peers, Cristian is currently taking a break from tournaments, but he will be back. Cristian is undoubtedly one to watch for many years to come.

Another fantastic weekend showcasing the future of our sport, with Struddys X Corner Pin Standings Ambassadors competing at the Queensland Junior State Championships!

Ambassadors Hayden Miller and Holley Greaves were proudly on display in their personally designed custom Struddys apparel as they competed over the weekend in Mackay.

Congratulations to Haydo on claiming the Junior State Open Masters title today, producing one of his best performances to date with an outstanding 235.6 average throughout the finals. He also comes into the event off the back of a terrific showing at the Lexus of Townsville Sun City Open, where he advanced to Stage 3 Matchplay and finished a highly respectable 6th place against a quality field.

Holley also put together a strong tournament, finishing 5th in the Restricted Junior Masters. A great effort and another valuable step forward in her development. She also had the opportunity to step up into the Junior Open division and made the most of it, improving from her entering average of 134 to a 156.3 in the finals. This is Holley’s highest tournament average yet and a great confidence boost for her next event 🙌

A special shoutout as well to Emily Starkey on her victory in the Junior Female Open Masters. Emily was also sporting a Struddys jersey as she bowled her way to the title! 🤩

Well done to all bowlers who competed. The future of junior bowling is looking incredibly bright, with an impressive amount of talent coming out of Queensland ☀️
