Some love stories don't need grand gestures to be unforgettable.

They live in the little things. The quiet moments. The shared adventures. The stories that become part of who you are together.

For Fiona and Eddie, one of those stories involved a black sock.

Years ago, while backpacking together, Eddie secretly carried Fiona's engagement ring inside a black sock before proposing. On their wedding day, that very same sock returned — this time warming their wedding rings before they exchanged them in front of the people they love most. šŸ–¤

From Fiona walking down the aisle to Bloom, to the confetti-filled celebration that followed their first kiss as husband and wife, every moment felt intentional, heartfelt and completely true to them.

It was thoughtful.
It was emotional.
It was joyful.

And it was an absolute privilege to stand alongside them as they began this next chapter together.

Earlier this year J-Boy and I celebrated a pretty special milestone - 40 years of marriage ā¤ļø

To mark the occasion, we stepped away from the everyday and enjoyed a beautiful trip aboard the Q Train, reflecting on the memories, adventures and chapters we've shared together over the past four decades.

As a celebrant, I'm lucky enough to witness some of life's most meaningful moments. Engagements. Weddings. Vow renewals. Anniversaries, Naming Ceremonies. And if there's one thing I've learnt, it's that ALL milestones deserve to be celebrated.

Not because everything has been perfect, but because every milestone represents a story. The highs, the challenges, the growth, the laughter and all the little moments in between that make a life together.

In a world that often moves too quickly, taking the time to pause and acknowledge those moments matters.

Whether it's one year, ten years, fifty years or any milestone in between, don't wait for the "big" celebrations. Celebrate the journey. Celebrate each other. Celebrate the memories you're creating along the way.

And for the record... after 40 years, I can confirm J-Boy is still my favourite adventure companion ā¤ļøšŸ„‚

Winter wedding season is here... and honestly, like Autumn, I’m here for it!

There’s something incredibly romantic about a winter wedding. The softer light, cosy celebrations, rich colour palettes and the excuse to gather your favourite people together for a long lunch or intimate evening celebration.

Some of the trends I love for a cool weather wedding include:
šŸ¤ Long-sleeve gowns and statement sleeves
šŸ•Æļø Candlelit ceremonies and receptions
šŸ· Rich, moody colour palettes
🌿 Textured florals and seasonal foliage
šŸ„‚ Intimate guest lists with a focus on meaningful moments
šŸ”„ Fire places / pits, outdoor heaters and cosy gathering spaces

One of the biggest misconceptions about winter weddings? That the weather is a disadvantage. In reality, winter often brings beautiful golden light for photos, more venue availability and a relaxed atmosphere that allows couples to focus on what really matters - celebrating their love story with the people they care about most.

Would you / did you get married in Winter?

Reading words like this never gets old šŸ¤

Being trusted to stand alongside couples on one of the most important days of their lives is something I never take for granted.

Riley & Liam, thank you for your beautiful words and for allowing me to be part of such a special chapter in your story. Creating a ceremony that feels personal, meaningful, relaxed, and truly you is always my biggest goal - so hearing this means the world.

One of my favourite parts of being a wedding celebrant is getting to know each couple beyond the surface. Your story, your personalities, your connection… that’s what makes a ceremony unforgettable.

Thank you again for having me as part of your day šŸ¤āœØ

If you’re currently searching for a celebrant who will genuinely care about your ceremony and help create a moment that feels authentic, heartfelt, and memorable - I’d love to chat.

Autumn weddings really are the quiet achievers of wedding season šŸ‚āœØ

The light softens, the air cools, and everything feels a little more relaxed. Couples slow down, guests settle in, and ceremonies somehow become even more intimate.

There’s something magical about exchanging vows surrounded by golden leaves, warm sunsets, rich autumn colours, and that cosy atmosphere that makes everyone want to linger a little longer.

As a wedding celebrant, autumn ceremonies will always have a special place in my heart. The season brings such beautiful energy to a wedding day - calm, romantic, heartfelt, and deeply connected.

Golden hour photos, crisp evenings, candlelit receptions, and meaningful moments shared with your favourite people… it really is the perfect backdrop for a love story.

There’s something incredibly special about hearing from the parents after a wedding day. šŸ¤

Being invited into one of life’s biggest moments is never something I take lightly - and receiving words like these from the Groom’s parents means more than I can properly put into words.

For me, a ceremony has always been about more than paperwork and timelines. It’s about creating a moment that feels personal, relaxed, joy-filled, and truly reflective of the couple standing in front of me… while making every guest feel part of something meaningful too.

So grateful to Shane & Vanessa for this beautiful message, and for trusting me to play a small part in such a special chapter for your family.

ā€œLove birdsā€ young or old... I’m here for all of it ✨

Plot twist: the wedding wasn’t the only big announcement of the day… šŸ¤

Brittni & Brad’s Rose Garden ceremony at Newtown Park was filled with love, laughter, and the kind of authentic joy that made every moment feel so beautifully them.

And just when everyone thought the surprises were over, family photos turned into the setting for an unforgettable extra chapter - a surprise announcement that had everyone emotional, excited, and holding back the happy tears.

These are the moments that make weddings so unforgettable - not just the vows themselves, but the beautiful surprises woven into the story along the way.

When your wedding day feels less like an event… and more like coming home to your favourite people. šŸ¤

Josh and Tahlia’s wedding at was such a beautiful reminder that the very best celebrations are the ones grounded in love, family, and the people who know you best.

Surrounded by their favourite humans, every moment felt deeply personal, heartfelt, and full of genuine connection - the kind of day that reflects not only a couple’s love story, but the incredible people standing beside them through it all.

It was such a privilege to help honour the beginning of this next chapter together.
