Still not sure what we do?! 🤔 How’s this fab ad we had made for Scone Cup this year in May by the brilliant team at Proud as Punch Branding Studio. 🎥✨

Major bits we wanted to cover:
1. The diversity of clients we have in rural, regional and agricultural Australia
2. The bright, fun and upbeat attitude of GRO (if you’ve met the team, you’ll know what we mean!)
3. Nailing down what we do: polished rural agricultural events and communications

Simple ✅, straight to the point ✅, not making you fall asleep. 😴🚫

How did we go? 🙌

32 webinars and 10 workshops later…

Since December 2024, Lucy, our Events and Marketing Coordinator, has proudly rolled out 32 online webinars and 10 in-person events across NSW for The Rural Woman.

From Orange to Dubbo, Young to Moree, and all the way down to beautiful Nowra by the coast – it’s been an incredible journey connecting rural communities through learning and digital empowerment.

A huge thank you to Katja Williams - The Rural Mum, Melinda McCosker from Accountable Business Services, Mel Manchee from Admin Angel Co, Sophie Durham from Digital Wonder, and the brilliant digital guides 💫 for making it all possible.

Here’s to many more powerful conversations and connections across the regions! 💪👩‍💻💛

🐴🎉 August 1st – Happy Horse’s Birthday! 🎉🐴

In the Southern Hemisphere, every horse celebrates their birthday today – a tradition that simplifies age-based classifications in the racing and equestrian world.

Here at GRO Events Group, horses are close to our heart – literally. Our founder Dimity grew up in Scone, Australia’s Horse Capital, and we’re proud to work alongside incredible equine clients including the Scone Horse Festival, Upper Hunter Dressage Association, Gwandalan Stables and Scone Race Club.

To our equine-loving friends, clients, and industry partners – we’re raising a hoof to you today! 💫

If you're in the equine industry and need support with events, marketing or communications, reach out to [email protected] – we’d love to help.

Can you spot AI-generated content?
With tools like ChatGPT becoming part of everyday workflows, it’s getting trickier to tell what’s been written by humans – and what’s had a little help from AI.

At GRO, we love a good AI tool (you know we’re all about working smarter 👩‍💻), but we also know when something reads a little too… robotic.

Here are a few signs a piece of content might be AI-generated:
– Polished, but a little vague
– Repetitive sentence patterns
– Overuse of em dashes (those double dash thingies - we’ve banned those 😅)
– Too-perfect grammar without personality
– Lacks local insight or lived experience

Sometimes you just need to pause, soak up some stunning event inspo, and dream a little... ✨ Even if it’s the kind of dream where Jeff Bezos foots the bill (lols, but seriously, hi Jeff).

Here’s a little collection Dim’s been quietly saving – for that magical moment when the dream client with a sky’s-the-limit budget walks through the (virtual) door and says, “We need GRO.”

One fave? A gorgeous setup styled by the brilliant Steve Cordony for Cloudy Bay in Blenheim, NZ. Proof that you don’t need a million-dollar spend – sometimes the view is the budget.

Before you book the marquee or pick the florals - pause. 🛑

✨ The strongest events start with strategy.
What’s the goal? Who’s in the room? What does success look like after the event?

At GRO, we start with the bigger picture and build backwards. That’s how we create events that don’t just look good - they work.

Why do our clients choose GRO? Because we don’t just manage logistics - we partner with purpose. 💼🤝

From strategy to storytelling, we’re proud to help bring events to life that truly connect with community and leave a lasting impression.

We’ve loved working with Scone Horse Festival for the third year running - supporting their vision, celebrating local pride (check out the floats!), and creating something unforgettable (this year – special mention of Dr Harry from Better Homes & Gardens as part of all the fun!)

GRO is trusted by brands and organisations who value regional impact just as much as we do.
