Buzzin’ Coffee has now been passed onto its new owners who plan to have it as part of their farmyard business in Harrisville (Brisbanes West).
I wish them all the best in their mission to caffeinate their customers, & once again…, a HUGE “Thank you” to all my customers who supported my little venture to put smiles on people’s faces & provide a ‘hug in a cup’ over the last half of 2023.

New Year’s bring new decisions.

Whilst I’ve loved what I’ve done with creating Buzzin’ Coffee & meeting all the wonderful people I have in the past 6mths; I’ve decided to sell my cute little coffee trailer 🐝 ☕️ and allow someone to pursue their passion in owning & operating their own coffee cart, while I move onto new ventures.

My heartfelt “thank you” 🙏 to all of those who’ve supported my venture, & the “Thank You coffee” cause in someway along the way!

So, on Xmas day my daughter and I flew ✈️ to NZ to care for my 94yr old mother-in-law, and literally left about an hour before the tornado 🌪️ hit the area.

Whilst my area down the bottom of the mountain ⛰️ was hit somewhat….it was nothing compared to others nearby - and I’m thankful that my house & family/friends are all ok.

We flew home last night, and our power was restored this morning (thank you Energex 🙏- who are working tireless).

So today I took a drive up to Mt Tamborine to check on many friends up there and in Tamborine Village.

Wow. 😮
The devastation is unbelievable 🥺😞

Some friends have quite substantial damage to their homes 🏠 & it will be a big clean up and restoration, but their strength and kindness to others is admirable.

I know there were shouts out to local coffee vendors to come and supply coffees on the mountain- and seriously…..if I had been in the country I wouldn’t have hesitated.

I had thought about bringing Buzzin’ Coffee up to the mountain and giving out free coffees ☕️☕️☕️☕️ tomorrow, but after some thought - I’ve decided I won’t.
Why?….
Not because I don’t want to, but because there are businesses that have soldiered on- and are trying to operate their businesses all powered with generators.
Some with no lights on…. and just operating enough to do the best they can.
Many of these business owners live & work on the mountain, & I have no idea how badly they’ve been affected by this devastating event…. So basically I don’t want to take any business away from them. 🫶
Buzzin’ Coffee is a sideline business for me - and the last thing I would want to do is give freebies away to try and do something nice…. but yet it may damage someone else’s business.

Instead; I’ll support other small businesses by supporting them, & offer help where I can.

Don’t also forget that The Green Shed - Tamborine Mountain is still open Sundays 7-11am, and many local growers rely on local support to earn a bit of money by selling their produce / flowers / plants etc each week.

It’ll be a long road ahead - and the mountain still don’t have power yet, so as a local…. please support local. 🩷🙏

Hoping all The Green Shed - Tamborine Mountain & District Local Producers Association people on & around the mountain are ok?!! I’m currently in NZ - but am seeing all the destruction in our area. 🥺😢

So I have been hoping to take Buzzin’ Coffee to Mt Tamborine QAS 🚑 - but the weather has been raining /storms ⛈️ this week.

Instead; I was up there doing a nursing job this morning- so popped in to see if anyone was there.

‘Pete & Siobhan’ were the only ones there today - and loved their “Thank You coffees” & notes of appreciation from my awesome customers, as well as some choccys 🍫 🫶🌟🙏!
Pete said he’s still got the lovely little note from last time! 🫶🙌 (awwe)!

I thought I’d scoot down to Canungra QAS 🚑, & do the same….but I think they may have been on ‘fatigue’ (sleeping 😴) - so I left them some notes & paid for some coffees at one of their local coffee shops for them for when they wake up 😁. ☕️☕️☕️☕️

Thank you to the amazingly generous people who have supported this initiative over the past several months…..you’re all stars ✨!

Merry Christmas to you all, and a big “Thank You” to all of our wonderful First Responders 🚓🚒🚑🚨 - especially if you’re working over the Xmas break🎄.

No sunset coffees this arvo at the lookout.
However, the Christmas Twilight Markets are appare on at the Showgrounds on Mt Tamborine….so if you want to brave it- head on up there!
