We absolutely love The Gong! ❤️🌊

Even when the weather is cold, wet and miserable, Wollongong still has something special about it. There’s just a vibe here that keeps drawing us back.

The Gong has always held a special place in my heart. Back in the late ’90s, I owned three Mobile Express (Telstra Dealer) stores in the area—Corrimal, Figtree and Shellharbour. They were fantastic years, and I genuinely fell in love with the people and the lifestyle. In fact, I came so close to buying a home in Figtree, just behind Maccas!

Through my business, Express Entertainment, I’ve also had the privilege of DJing many beautiful weddings at the Novotel Wollongong Northbeach, creating memories for so many wonderful couples. It’s always a pleasure returning to such a fantastic venue.

These days I still head down regularly—whether it’s cheering on my beloved St George Illawarra Dragons, catching a surf at North Wollongong Beach, or visiting nearby gems like Thirroul, another amazing part of the South Coast.

Rain, wind or sunshine… The Gong never disappoints. It’s a place full of great memories for me, and now I’m creating new ones with Liam. ❤️
