In 2021, the night before a major Syngenta event, we got the call — cancelled due to COVID restrictions. Months of planning and hundreds of flowers suddenly had nowhere to go. Instead of letting them waste away, we transformed every arrangement into bouquets and delivered them to nursing homes the next morning. What began as a disappointment turned into something far more meaningful — hallways filled with colour, and residents with smiles. These are some of the photos from that day.

You can have the most stunning table, but one tiny detail ruins it….Crooked candlesticks. No one likes a crooked stick. Always blue tack the base or use a drop of melted wax to keep them standing perfectly straight… because the little things matter.

Gnarly‘s ashes came back today. We’re happy he’s back home with us. He was such a big part of our every day, part of getting to bring your dog with you to work. He was truly the best shop dog I keep going to talk to him, or scoot him out of the coolroom doorway, or close the sliding door so he doesn’t wander out onto the street. We miss him so much.

It was January.
It was hot. Like, 38° and no breeze kind of hot.
One of my freelancers got heat stroke.
The bride realised — an hour before the ceremony — that we were one bouquet short. Oops! She forgot a friend!
But you’d never know it.
Because we improvised. We hydrated. We fanned each other. We whipped up a whole extra bouquet from scraps and offcuts in 20 minutes flat.
And the wedding? Sheer perfection. Soft summer tones, glowing skin, joyful chaos — the kind of day that feels like a dream in hindsight.
This is why having a floral bestie matters.
Someone who knows your vision and will move literal mountains (or melting buckets) to make sure everything comes together.
