Instructions
1. Prepare the surface
Make sure the card box surface is clean, dry and free from dust or fingerprints.
2. Position your vinyl
Before removing the backing, place the vinyl design on the box to check the position. You can use a small piece of masking tape to mark the centre if needed.
3. Apply transfer tape
If your vinyl design has separate letters or details, it should have transfer tape over the top. Rub firmly over the entire design using a scraper or bank card.
4. Remove the backing paper
Slowly peel the backing paper away from the vinyl. The vinyl should remain attached to the clear transfer tape. If any letters stay behind, lay the tape back down and rub firmly again.
5. Place the design
Carefully position the vinyl on the card box. Do not press it down until you are happy with the placement, as permanent vinyl can be difficult to reposition.
6. Press the vinyl down
Once positioned correctly, press from the centre outwards. Rub firmly over all letters and details with your fingers, scraper or bank card.
7. Remove the transfer tape
Slowly peel the clear transfer tape back on itself at a low angle. Do not pull it straight upwards. If any vinyl lifts, place the transfer tape back down, rub again and continue peeling slowly.
8. Final check
Gently press over the vinyl once more to make sure all edges and letters are securely attached.
Tip: Take your time when removing the transfer tape, particularly with small names, dates or fine lettering.
