I have many years of experience in creating personalised, enjoyable and engaging wedding ceremonies. Congratulations! Awesome! I am not a cut and paste celebrant!

You have met the love of your life and now want to make if official, proclaim it to the world and have a party right? My name is Mandi and I am an accredited and fully trained Marriage Celebrant (have been since 2006) that loves ALL weddings, love is love right? The fact that I also run a travel company specialising in romance travel means I am really in love with others being in love, being part

of that day and all the fun that goes with that. I have also been an event manager for more years than I can remember, so I am connected and creative too! Your ceremony is very important to you and is individually written to suit the occasion. I tell your story, I help you write your own personal, touching and often light hearted vows that reflect you as a couple. No “insert bride’s name here” for me! I can guide you in choosing elements of the ceremony such as readings or rituals. I love a ceremony that reflects my couples – it is all about you! I bring in some light hearted and entertaining moments, whilst still being sentimental and meaningful, and of course legal! With my 20 years of experience in Event Management, this can be a real asset in helping to ensure that your day is everything you ever dreamed it would be. I only ever perform one ceremony a day, as I believe you should deserve my undivided attention. What do I enjoy about being a celebrant? That pure joy at the moment when you change peoples’ lives irrevocably! The kiss! Some advice for you when it comes to choosing a celebrant – When you are standing up there facing your love and saying your vows, the only other person that is really close to you is the celebrant. Make sure it is someone you feel comfortable and have a rapport with. This person is responsible for the start of your married life and your big day, so make sure you like them!! I also help celebrate other events, such as namings, renewal of vows, commitment ceremonies and all of life’s celebrations. Big or small, formal or casual, all you have to do is just relax and enjoy your ceremony, I will make sure all the details are taken care of and all you have to do is celebrate! Planning a wedding shouldn’t feel overwhelming, especially when it comes to choosing your celebrant 🤍

Here are a few questions couples often ask before they reach out. Spoiler alert… it’s usually much easier, more relaxed and more fun than most people expect.

❓ What happens at the first meeting with a celebrant?

This is usually where we get to know each other, chat about your plans and complete the legal paperwork. We’ll go through the Notice of Intended Marriage, sight your identification documents and talk about your vision for the ceremony. It can be as relaxed as a coffee and a chat and usually takes about an hour.

❓ What documents do we need to legally get married in Australia?

Your celebrant will need your Notice of Intended Marriage, birth certificates and/or passports, photo identification and any supporting documents such as divorce paperwork if applicable. We’ll guide you through exactly what is needed so nothing gets missed.

❓ How far in advance should we book our celebrant?

As soon as you have your date! Venues, photographers and celebrants are often the first suppliers couples secure because we can generally only commit to one wedding at a time. There are only 52 Saturday afternoons each year and they fill quickly.

❓ Can our ceremony be personal and relaxed or does it have to be formal?

Absolutely. Apart from the legal wording, which only takes a minute or two, your ceremony can be as relaxed, heartfelt, fun or traditional as you like. The best ceremonies reflect who you are as a couple, not something copied from the internet.

I wanted to share a little more about me beyond the weddings and ceremonies.

This August, I’m hoping to head back to the UK for a very special family reunion in Scotland, where we’ll come together to scatter my dad’s ashes and celebrate his memory with love. With family living all over the world, having everyone together will be incredibly meaningful.

After that, my husband Greg and I are planning to explore Spain and Portugal together. Travel has always been part of who I am. After more than 46 years in the travel industry, I still find so much joy in discovering new places and sharing those moments with someone you truly connect with. Whether it’s a beautiful sunset, stunning architecture, or a quiet moment somewhere new, those experiences are always more special together.

That sense of connection is also what I love most about being a celebrant. I’m looking forward to working with more couples I genuinely resonate with, creating heartfelt ceremonies, and being part of some truly beautiful celebrations.
