Thanks to everyone who came along yesterday. Three brilliant sets of festive cheer and country and rockin' blues. Thanks to Carly for doing the sound and The Bearded Tit for their great service and wonderful vibe. For now, that's the end of our six month Red-Eyed and Blue run at The Bearded Tit. We'll be back in some form and venue in the new year, bringing you live music in this crazy ol' town. Safe and happy holidays!

SIX STRINGS Q&A: Ben Leece

I caught Ben Leece for the first time at this year’s Dashville Skyline Festival. It was broad daylight on the last morning, the vibe was lazy, sun-kissed and chilled out. Ben started singing and something in the air shifted. It was one of those voices that catches the air and piques one’s senses. Rich with ache and melancholy, it cut a straight line to the heart of the music and his songs of personal reflection, experience and introspection.
