One of my favourite photographers was the American landscape photographer, Ansel Adams His iconic black and white landscape photography helped establish fine arts photography.
He was quoted as saying “You don’t take a photograph, you make it.”
Anyone can point a camera at an object or person to take a photograph.
However, a really good photographer will engage with their surroundings. They’ll come from behind their camera, engage with their client, gain their trust and help them to feel relaxed.
Let’s face it, unless you’re a model, it’s not natural for most of us to be in front of a photographer’s lens for hours on end, but that’s what happens when you get married.
Choose a photographer who communicates well and who understands the memories you want to see from your wedding day.
And that way your photographer won’t be taking photographs, they will be making your memories 📸
