2015–2025: A DECADE OF BLOOM BOY ❤️‍🔥

It’s wild to think it’s been ten whole years since I started this journey!!! After moving from London to Melbourne, I knew I needed a change. Fashion had been my world, but I kept fantasising about working with flowers.

So in 2015, fresh out of floristry school and still figuring things out, I started BLOOM BOY. I didn’t feel like I fit in anywhere else and I had something to say.

Coming from fashion, I brought the same sensibility into floral design - I’ve never been drawn to naturalism, I’ve always been about fantasy, storytelling, and a little drama.

Looking back, I’m amazed by what this little business has brought into my life. The people I’ve met, the places I’ve been, the projects I’ve had the honour to work on. It’s all been beyond anything I could’ve imagined.

Then in 2019, entered the chat. We clicked instantly. This creative brotherhood turned into a whole new chapter, and a whole new business BLOOMED. Suddenly I felt like I did fit in somewhere and .studio now feels like home.

Funnily enough, when I first started dreaming about floristry, a friend asked what I actually wanted to do. I said: “I want to be a Creative Director.” And somehow, through BLOOM BOY, I found my way there thanks to TYBB.

Ten years ago, I had no idea what was going to happen. I just knew I had to do it and I’m so glad I did.

2015: BLOOM BOY IS BORN 💐

Throwing it all the way back to my very first shoot and the launch of BLOOM BOY, starring my first-ever BLOOM BOY

I had a vision, some bouquets, and Dan in his un**es. This was the moment it all began.

Ten years later, this shoot still makes me smile. It was bold, cheeky, and fun - just like the brand has always been.

Dan, thank you for saying yes to un**es, blooms, and a dream. You’ll always be my OG BLOOM BOY 💋

🌸 WORKSHOP ANNOUNCEMENT 🌸

Excited to announce that I’ll be hosting a vase arrangement workshop at the fab on Sunday 15 October!

In this workshop I’ll be personally showing you how to create my style of fun and colourful arrangements for your own home. I’ll demonstrate using a variety of different vase styles before you get to make your very own vase arrangement to take home and enjoy!

No prior experience necessary.

Our very first .studio wedding was a love celebration like no other! 🎉🎉🎉

Ellen + Luke wanted to thank their vibrant and inclusive loved ones as “the community that made the couple”.

So inspired by their love of Melbourne’s street art, we transformed into a laneway lit with glowing neons and filled with colourful ‘mural moments’ for guests to explore. A giant 6ft heart for the ceremony backdrop, ribbon n bloom sculptures at every bar and a focal central mural that became the perfect backdrop to dance the night away!
