We had the absolute pleasure of creating this special cake for a beautiful gender reveal celebration! ✨

This custom creation was made with love for a glowing mum-to-be, filled with anticipation and joy. The outside was elegantly decorated in soft neutrals with hints of both pink and blue — but the real magic was inside! One slice, and the secret was out… 🎂👶

YAY 🎉 ITS A GIRL 👧…..we’re so thrilled to have played a sweet little part in their big moment. 💕

It was just past 6 a.m. when the kitchen lights flickered on at Lady Magdalene Kitchen & Sweets. The air filled with the comforting scent of coconut rice bubbling on the stove, sambal simmering gently with a whisper of spice, and crispy anchovies dancing in the fryer.

Patricia, half-awake but fully focused, glanced at the morning.Twenty-five nasi lemak orders. All before 9 a.m. She cracked a smile. “Game on.”

Prepped the banana leaves with precision, laying out each portion like edible art—perfect ovals of rice, sambal at the side, golden boiled eggs halved just right, cucumber slices crisp as morning dew.

By 7.30 the final batch was packed, stickers sealed, orders checked twice. As the last delivery rider zoomed off, A quiet moment.

Twenty-five nasi lemak orders, all sent out hot, fragrant, and full of love.

Just another morning at Lady Magdalene’s.

Just cause I was feeling 'itchy' and wanted to make stuff... a bacon, cheese and veg quiche made from scratch and a tray of peach and coconut agar agar since I can 🤣

But mostly I made this for my sister to eat as she was going to work the graveyard shift as she always does to sustain her till the next morning. ... 🥰🥰🥰

Apologies for the late post guys!

A colleague of mine ordered a black forest gateau for his birthday two weeks ago and this is my picture journey (forgot about taking the layering of the cake... soz) of my very first attempt at making one. Mind you this is also MY FAVORITE CAKE IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!!!

My good friend Yoori can attest to how much black forest and linzer torte I ate when we were in Germany lol...

I must say I'm proud to have tried and succeeded.. ☺️

The end result and the look of the cake inside was awesome. And the birthday boy was a very happy camper too....

Chocolate sponge soaked in kirsch simple syrup sandwiched with black cherry compote and silky whipped cream topped with fresh cherries and decorated with chocolate shavings...

A personal achievement and a humble masterpiece...

Morning everyone!

Gong Xi Fa Cai to all my friends far and near... May this year of the Snake bring loads of good things your way!

As for me, it has started with a baking frenzy... made a black forest gateau (my most favorite cake in the entire world) just this Friday gone and now cornflake cookies and 'Hong Kong' style butter cookies for order for tomorrow.

These treats (just them cookies and not the black forest of which I will post up pictures later once Ive caught some shut eye after baking the night away lol) just came out of the oven not too long ago and I have a few extras if anyone would like to purchase them.

I have :

1 x Butter Cookies for $55.00 (SOLD)

2 x Cornflake Cookies for $45.00 each

Now back to washing and cleaning... . ☺️

We ended 2024 with two little bakes; a red velvet and cream cheese birthday cake and a batch of vanilla cupcakes with strawberry jam...
As we begin the new year, we hope to spread more joy with the yummiest cakes, bakes, and food with everyone far and near...

Double Happiness - The literal meaning of喜 (Happiness) is joy, while 囍 (double happiness) are twin Chinese characters of joy, a symbol of celebrations of marriage.
The first ever unique project I had been given the opportunity to make for Pat's friend for his auspicious day. All he asked was to keep it simple, not too sweet and buttery. Hence, this butter cookie with a very thin layer of fondant topped with the double happiness printed on sugar paper.
Individually wrapped and placed in these beautiful wedding cookie boxes to be given out to his guests in attendance.
Congratulations to the newly weds!

RU OK Day 2023 was celebrated last September 14th. A very important day that allows us an opportunity to remind everyone that every day can be a day to ask ‘are you OK?’ and start a meaningful conversation with someone you notice might be struggling or having a difficult time with life.

This year’s theme was “I’m here to hear” tells us that you don’t need to have a degree or qualifications to just talk to someone about what they may be going through. It just takes a simple question to start a conversation that could help change a life. Just listening... being present and most of all asking...

We can all make a difference when someone in our world is struggling with life’s ups and downs by helping them feel connected and supported, no matter what they might be facing.

To all those who did ask the question, especially the team at Discovery Bay Rowville, thank you very much for making the difference, no matter big or small. Hope the cookies made the experience much sweeter.
