The Almaari Story—

We know the struggle of shopping in Perth—hours spent driving across the city, scrolling endlessly online, trying to find the right outfit, jewellery, or gift for weddings and festivals. As fellow small business owners and Desi women, we’ve lived it, and we wanted to change it.

Our inspiration comes from years of exploring markets and trunk shows around the world. We’ve wandered the aisles of Asiana in the UK, admired designs at Numaish in Dubai, strolled the vibrant streets of Meena Bazaar in Delhi, and even braved the crowds in Phagwara searching for that perfect, one-of-a-kind piece. Every trip reminded us: nothing compares to seeing, touching, and trying before you buy—and connecting directly with the people behind the designs.

That’s why we created Almaari and why we now host two distinct events:

Bridal Exhibition – the ultimate wedding shopping experience, bringing engaged couples face-to-face with Perth’s best vendors for personalised connections, inspiration, and on-the-day exclusives.

Trunk Show – for everyone celebrating life’s many events, offering curated shopping, one-off pieces, and the chance to meet boutique owners directly.

4 women, 1 pair of sisters, 1 set of business partners who should really stop stealing clothes, jhmkas and chashmeh off each other and somehow, amidst all the chaos, we still delivered an original Almaari Diwali Trunk Show for our Shoppers south of the river with our stores leaving with empty racks and shoppers leaving with heavy bags!
