How to finish your cord bracelet with a perfect adjustable sliding knot

No clasp needed!
These 2 easy methods work for any cord, rope, or paracord bracelet for gifting or yourself.

Method 1 is quick and clean with one knot, ideal for everyday wear.
1. Lay both cords parallel
2. Take one tail and form a loop around the opposite cord
3. Wrap that tail around the opposite cord 2–3 times
4. Pass the tail end through the loop you made in step 2
5. Pull tight to set the knot

It can be tricky to knot at the end of beads
Watch how to secure beads in place on cord by tying a knot right next to the bead using both a single cord and double cord technique.

Perfect for making handmade accessories like keychains, necklaces, and bracelets keeping beads from sliding and giving your piece a clean, professional finish.

🔹 One String Method — Basic Overhand Knot

1. Thread your bead onto the cord and slide it to the position where you want it to sit.
2. Form a loop with the cord, bring the tail end around and through the loop to create a basic overhand knot.
3. Grip the cord coming out of the bead hole with a tweezer, holding it snug right at the bead's edge to keep the bead from sliding away.
4. Before tightening, keep the tweezer in place and guide the knot as close to the bead as possible while slowly pulling the tail end tight.
5. Pull firmly to snug the knot flush against the bead so it can't slide, then release the tweezer.

🔹 Two String Method — Double Cord Knot

1. Hold both cords, one in each hand — bring the right cord over the left (or left over right!)
2. Bring that cord through the loop you're holding in your right hand.
3. Pull both strings tight and snug against the bead — done!

💡 Tips to Make Knots Close to a Bead Every Time
✔ Bracelets & Necklaces: Space beads evenly and knot on each side of every bead to keep them from bunching together.
✔ Keychains: After the last bead, tie a double overhand knot (pass through the loop twice) for extra security so it won't slip off under weight.
✔ Whether you're working with thick cord or thin string, these methods keep your knot snug at the end of beads every single time!
