Helena Rose Specialising in Biodegradable Confetti, fresh and dry flowers, Creative workshops & Bespoke Headwear

Hi, I’m Helena Rose, a bespoke designer based in the beautiful Redlands, QLD. I specialise in minimal waste floral design, handcrafted headwear, and creative workshops all created with love, intention, and a deep respect for sustainability and individuality. As a minimal waste designer, I’m always exploring new ways to repurpose flowers and materials, transforming what might have been discarded in

to something beautiful, meaningful, and lasting. My work includes a growing range of biodegradable confetti, fresh and dried floral arrangements, and one-of-a-kind headwear, each piece designed slowly and thoughtfully, with minimal waste in mind. I also love bringing creativity to others through my mobile workshops, where I travel to homes, workplaces, and schools to share my process. Every workshop is disability-inclusive, inspired by my incredible older sister Rose, who the brand is named after. In her honour, I strive to make every class welcoming, accessible, and empowering for all. Crafted with Care, Inspired by Experience

With a background in Fashion Design, I’ve always been drawn to clean lines, bold colour, and modern femininity with a touch of nostalgic charm. My creative journey has taken me across 20+ countries as a stylist, and I’ve been lucky enough to have my work featured in Jute Magazine and Dreamingless Magazine. I trained under French Milliner Estelle Ramousee and Couture Milliner Maor Zabar in Israel, learning the art of craftsmanship that now shapes every floral design and headpiece I create. After graduating in Applied Fashion Design in 2010, I moved from Sydney to Brisbane to explore a more sustainable and personal creative path. Between 2021 and 2025, I ran several retail studios before transitioning into a by-commission practice, focusing on custom designs and mobile workshops that celebrate creativity, connection, and conscious design. Every piece I create tells a story of care, creativity and community. Thank you for being here and supporting a journey built on love, sustainability, and inclusivity.

Day Two of the Wreath Making Season!

It was a bright day, even without the sunshine! 🌧️

We headed to Oxenford to host Jaime and her lovely group of five friends for an Everlasting Dry Floral Wreath Making Workshop and not even the rain could dampen our spirits.

For this program, I chose gold vine wreaths as the base. The room was filled with creativity, laughter and that festive spirit.

Thank you Jaime and ladies for such a beautiful morning. Rain, hail or shine, there’s always time to make a wreath🎄

My first wreath-making class of 2025 is officially done, and what a beautiful way to kick off the festive season!

Elodie and Paige created the most stunning pieces today !!

It’s moments like this that remind me why I love what I do. Getting hands-on, sharing inspiration, and watching others create something they’re truly proud of!

I can't wait to see what students create this year! If you would love to host your own private wreath-making class, I am now fully mobile and can bring the floral fun to you!

🌺 Lest We Forget 🌺

Today we pause to remember and honour the brave souls who served, those who sacrificed, and the families who carried their strength forward.

May we continue to live with gratitude for the peace and freedom they fought for — and carry their legacy with kindness, courage, and compassion in our everyday lives.

At 11am, we remember them. ❤️

For the past 8 years, I’ve hand-cut every single slice of citrus and covered them in glitter for my annual Christmas wreath-making classes — it’s become such a special tradition.

But as my classes have grown (and gotten a little too busy to prep for on my own.

So this year, thanks to , I ordered 10kg of dried citrus saving time and supporting local farmers as well!

Now all that’s left is to make them sparkle, because some traditions are just too special to let go of. ✨🎄

All we need is a little sparkle in our life.

When a pinecone isn’t quite perfect I simply add a touch of glitter or paint them and suddenly it shines in its own beautiful way.

It’s a sweet reminder that creativity has no rules… and that sometimes the imperfect pieces end up being the most magical ones.

Honestly, I still can’t believe I get to call this work. Doing what I love every single day, surrounded by flowers, glitter, and good company — it’s the best kind of magic.

THE STORY BEHIND Helena Rose

With an innovative approach to style, Helena Rose marries clean, classic forms with fresh, feminine modernity and a playful sense of nostalgia. Bold colours, unexpected trims and high-quality materials are the signature elements that define the collection every season.

A successful and inspired brand, Helena Rose has traversed to over twenty countries across the globe as a stylist and has an impressive presence in the pages of international fashion journals such as Jute Magazine and Dreamingless Magazine while simultaneously taking a millinery class with French Milliner Estelle Ramousee, then working under the mentorship of Couture Milliner Maor Zabar for a month in Israel. Following graduation in 2010, Helena moved to Brisbane to explore a different career path to exercise her aptitude for fashion as a headwear designer.

Since then, the offering has steadily evolved to include a range of headwear pieces that are created by hand in a small Brisbane development studio. The hats, in particular, possess a sculptural beauty while maintaining straightforward wearability–this balance perfected by hand finishes and considered design.
