I had the opportunity to be invited as a panellist last week as part of my attendance to the M&C Asia Connections 2026 in Kuala Lumpur. Joined by fellow PCO’s from Singapore and the UK the panel discussion was on Staying Relevant in an Era of Constant Change. This was a wonderful experience as we all shared views and insights of the events industry in the current climate and whilst we are all from different corners of the world the challenges and trends are all very similar. This panel discussion as well as the activities over the 2 days demonstrated the importance of open communication across the globe and collaboration between industry peers. By working in a unified and team effort we can all reach our goals and overcome many of the hurdles and challenges.

The event saw approx. 120 attendees from across Asia, Australia, UK, Belgium, France and Dubai gather for 2 days of connections and learning. With the simple format expo this gave us the opportunity to connect with new suppliers, strengthen connections with existing ones and be introduced to new destinations. Hosted across both the Hyatt Regency KL in Midtown and the Mandarin Oriental we experienced different parts of the city. With social functions held both onsite at each hotel as well as Mesa on 51 Rooftop where the city skyline came alive with the Petronas Towers lighting up the night. Our final day we visited various venues including the Boathouse by the Lake, Bangunan Sultan Adbul Samad followed by lunch at Le Meridien and finishing off at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

M&C Asia Connections 2026 makes its Kuala Lumpur debut.

I had the privilege of attending this event last week and joining a panel alongside fellow Professional Conference Organisers from the UK and Singapore. The panel discussion was on Staying Relevant in an Era of Constant Change.

We shared perspectives from our respective regions, discussing industry trends, challenges, and opportunities. What stood out most was how many of the same issues we are all navigating, regardless of geography. It was a great reminder of the value of global conversations and learning from one another.

I had the privilege of attending This Is Gold Coast 2026. What an amazing few days we had exploring the venues, hotels, activities and unique experiences.

A huge congratulations to Andrea Molnar, Brooke Porter and the team at Experience Gold Coast for an outstanding program they delivered. It was exceptionally well planned and executed, showcasing just how much the Gold Coast has to offer as a conference and incentive destination.

The Gold Coast is so much more than a leisure destination. With its diverse conference venues, accommodation, transport, team-building activities and exceptional experiences, it offers everything needed to deliver a successful conference, corporate event or incentive program.

With the support of the many participating partners a group of conference and event organisers had the opportunity to experience the destination firsthand – from hotel accommodation options and event venues to unique activities and team-building experiences. Close to 40 suppliers came together on the show floor on the second day meeting with PCO’s over pre-scheduled appointments. Organisers came from across Australia, NZ, Singapore, India and Malaysia for a few days of learning and connections.

Attendees were hosted across 4 participating hotels, with a special thank you to my host, Stéphanie Radurier, Carmen Giuliano and the team at QT Gold Coast, who went above and beyond with their level of service and VIP treatment.

Great to attend the IHG Showcase event this week and hear the latest updates from the IHG Hotels & Resorts team. It was insightful to learn more about the group's developments and future direction, along with engaging presentations also from Derek Sadubin and Michael McQueen.

It was also fantastic to see so many hotels represented, along with some fun and engaging activations throughout the event, including Kimpton Hotels and their AI photo booth.

Events like these are a great reminder of the power of experiences in bringing brands and people together. With so many hotels represented, the event provided valuable insights into what's ahead for the industry.

Attending a recent event at the MCG was a great reminder that it’s far more than just an iconic stadium. The venue offers flexibility and options of function spaces with amazing food. From our arrival until the last round of drinks the MCG delivered an amazing day showcasing the venue and its capabilities.

The menu throughout the day was fresh, well-presented, and thoughtfully curated, it all felt considered and high quality beyond the typical stadium expectations.

IMEX Frankfurt this year felt even more focused on the value of connection.

Kicking off with Association Focus on Monday, the sessions were engaging, insightful, and delivered genuinely useful takeaways. It was a strong reminder of the importance of being in the room with the right people — and stepping out of the day-to-day to be part of conversations that challenge your thinking. It set the tone for a few days of meaningful meetings and purposeful networking.

Across the show days, it was fantastic to reconnect with partners I’ve built relationships with over time, while also meeting new suppliers already sparking ideas for future collaboration. Some of the most valuable moments came from unplanned conversations that naturally evolved into something more meaningful. What stood out most wasn’t just the number of meetings, but the quality of the discussions.

Beyond the exhibition floor, the social functions created space to continue those conversations more organically — the kind of informal moments that turn introductions into real connections, and that you simply can’t replicate elsewhere.

Grateful for the time, the conversations, and the outcomes of the week. I feel appreciative of the people I’ve connected with, and excited about what comes next.

What an energising few days in Auckland attending IAPCO Edge!
It was great to reconnect with familiar faces along with meeting new ones and building relationships with so many passionate industry colleagues. The intimate size of the program created the perfect environment for open conversations, shared experiences, and genuine connection.
A special mention goes to the presenters including Stephen Noble, Jan Tonkin and Mathias Posch for sharing their insights, knowledge and stories. With honest and open dialogue in the room among the attendees it created a collaborative platform for all.
Beyond the sessions the social program also showcased some of the places of interest in Auckland. We enjoyed dinner at the Auckland Art Gallery, sailing on the America’s Cup yacht and lunch on the harbour while on a luxury yacht with each experience reminding me of how fortunate we are. The few days were about learning, sharing and connections.
Feeling inspired, grateful, and energised for what’s ahead.
