As a founding member I was excited to attend the first AUNZ MICE CLUB event held at The Ritz Carlton. Well done to Pri Mills for bringing her vision to life in creating a network of PCO’s where they can gather to network and collaborate on all things events. This network creates a space for organisers to openly share and grow as individuals and professionals.

We heard from a panel on Social Media & Personal Branding for Event Pros which was insightful.

It was a relaxed function where the engagement was dynamic and conversations continued well beyond the conclusion of the event. Conversations and connections then flowed up to level 80 with bubbles and amazing views of the city.

Thank you to all the sponsors and partners for their support. Also to all the founding members who I look forward to connecting with in the future.

I recently had the opportunity to attend ITF 2026 in Istanbul. A chance to meet with suppliers that I otherwise would not have met and hosted buyers from across the globe. With the hosted buyers we engaged in conversation discussing the event landscape from across all corners of the world. We found despite where we are based we all share the same challenges in this dynamic yet exciting industry. The organisers did a great job of bringing together all the elements of this event which we all know too well the work and commitment that takes place behind the scenes.

My schedule started at a networking dinner hosted by Ahmet Aras, Mayor of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality held at the Four Seasons in Sultanahmet. We had the opportunity to be taken on a journey across this region and to experience the beauty of the area.

The show kicked off the next morning with a buzz of enthusiasm and a constant flow of visitors through the doors. With a full house of suppliers and a conference room with back-to-back sessions and standing room only there was not a moment to stop. The show ran for 2 days allowing buyers to fulfil their appointments but also allow some time in their agenda to stroll through and meet other suppliers.

One of the highlights for me was the cruise along the Bosphorus going past many places I have walked to in the past but seeing them from a different vantage point. We had the opportunity to network with many other buyers on the boat before arriving at our port where we then transferred to the Swisshotel for the night to continue.

Being hosted at the Divan Hotel in Taksim this hotel still holds old-world charm and well located to many famous spots. With conference facilities to cater for varying group sizes along with choices to eat onsite or a late-night drink at D-Bar. This certainly is on my list of favourite hotels. Istanbul is a destination for business events, incentives or luxury experiences. I had the opportunity to be invited as a panellist last week as part of my attendance to the M&C Asia Connections 2026 in Kuala Lumpur. Joined by fellow PCO’s from Singapore and the UK the panel discussion was on Staying Relevant in an Era of Constant Change. This was a wonderful experience as we all shared views and insights of the events industry in the current climate and whilst we are all from different corners of the world the challenges and trends are all very similar. This panel discussion as well as the activities over the 2 days demonstrated the importance of open communication across the globe and collaboration between industry peers. By working in a unified and team effort we can all reach our goals and overcome many of the hurdles and challenges.

The event saw approx. 120 attendees from across Asia, Australia, UK, Belgium, France and Dubai gather for 2 days of connections and learning. With the simple format expo this gave us the opportunity to connect with new suppliers, strengthen connections with existing ones and be introduced to new destinations. Hosted across both the Hyatt Regency KL in Midtown and the Mandarin Oriental we experienced different parts of the city. With social functions held both onsite at each hotel as well as Mesa on 51 Rooftop where the city skyline came alive with the Petronas Towers lighting up the night. Our final day we visited various venues including the Boathouse by the Lake, Bangunan Sultan Adbul Samad followed by lunch at Le Meridien and finishing off at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Thank you to the organisers for the opportunity to be a part of the panel and to my fellow panellists for such an insightful discussion. My appreciation goes out to M&C Asia Connections for the invitation to attend and all the supporting partners involved in the event including Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau, Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur at KL Midtown, Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur, Aavii Worldwide as well as all the suppliers. A well organised event, seamless ex*****on and delivered with professionalism. As PCO’s we know the work that takes place behind the scenes.

We support both corporates and associations across many industries in their event and conference planning. Reach out to us for a discussion on how we can assist you.

M&C Asia Connections 2026 makes its Kuala Lumpur debut.

I had the privilege of attending this event last week and joining a panel alongside fellow Professional Conference Organisers from the UK and Singapore. The panel discussion was on Staying Relevant in an Era of Constant Change.

We shared perspectives from our respective regions, discussing industry trends, challenges, and opportunities. What stood out most was how many of the same issues we are all navigating, regardless of geography. It was a great reminder of the value of global conversations and learning from one another.

Thank you to the organisers and my fellow panellists for such an insightful discussion.

I had the privilege of attending This Is Gold Coast 2026. What an amazing few days we had exploring the venues, hotels, activities and unique experiences.

A huge congratulations to Andrea Molnar, Brooke Porter and the team at Experience Gold Coast for an outstanding program they delivered. It was exceptionally well planned and executed, showcasing just how much the Gold Coast has to offer as a conference and incentive destination.

The Gold Coast is so much more than a leisure destination. With its diverse conference venues, accommodation, transport, team-building activities and exceptional experiences, it offers everything needed to deliver a successful conference, corporate event or incentive program.

With the support of the many participating partners a group of conference and event organisers had the opportunity to experience the destination firsthand – from hotel accommodation options and event venues to unique activities and team-building experiences. Close to 40 suppliers came together on the show floor on the second day meeting with PCO’s over pre-scheduled appointments. Organisers came from across Australia, NZ, Singapore, India and Malaysia for a few days of learning and connections.

Attendees were hosted across 4 participating hotels, with a special thank you to my host, Stéphanie Radurier, Carmen Giuliano and the team at QT Gold Coast, who went above and beyond with their level of service and VIP treatment.

As a boutique Professional Conference Organiser (PCO), I work with both associations and corporate organisations to plan and deliver conferences, meetings, corporate events and incentive programs across Australia and internationally.

If you’re starting to plan your next conference, incentive program or luxury experience, I’d love to connect and discuss the possibilities.

Great to attend the IHG Showcase event this week and hear the latest updates from the IHG Hotels & Resorts team. It was insightful to learn more about the group's developments and future direction, along with engaging presentations also from Derek Sadubin and Michael McQueen.

It was also fantastic to see so many hotels represented, along with some fun and engaging activations throughout the event, including Kimpton Hotels and their AI photo booth.

Events like these are a great reminder of the power of experiences in bringing brands and people together. With so many hotels represented, the event provided valuable insights into what's ahead for the industry.

If you're planning an event, conference or exhibition and are looking for fresh activation ideas to engage your audience, we'd love to help. Feel free to reach out to the team at AC Events Management & Consultancy.

Attending a recent event at the MCG was a great reminder that it’s far more than just an iconic stadium. The venue offers flexibility and options of function spaces with amazing food. From our arrival until the last round of drinks the MCG delivered an amazing day showcasing the venue and its capabilities.

The menu throughout the day was fresh, well-presented, and thoughtfully curated, it all felt considered and high quality beyond the typical stadium expectations.

The function spaces are thoughtfully designed—modern, flexible, and framed by views of the ground that instantly elevate the atmosphere of any event. We also had the opportunity to access areas such as media and change room facilities.

It’s a venue that quietly delivers on all fronts—capability, atmosphere, and service—making it an easy choice for events that want to feel both effortless and memorable.

The theme “Do It Different” was brought to life by a lineup of engaging speakers who shared honest and personal experiences. Including but not limited to Cam McEvoy, Dale Thomas and Jen Watt who all shared their journeys offering practical takeaways making the sessions both inspiring and genuinely impactful.

IMEX Frankfurt this year felt even more focused on the value of connection.

Kicking off with Association Focus on Monday, the sessions were engaging, insightful, and delivered genuinely useful takeaways. It was a strong reminder of the importance of being in the room with the right people — and stepping out of the day-to-day to be part of conversations that challenge your thinking. It set the tone for a few days of meaningful meetings and purposeful networking.

Across the show days, it was fantastic to reconnect with partners I’ve built relationships with over time, while also meeting new suppliers already sparking ideas for future collaboration. Some of the most valuable moments came from unplanned conversations that naturally evolved into something more meaningful. What stood out most wasn’t just the number of meetings, but the quality of the discussions.

Beyond the exhibition floor, the social functions created space to continue those conversations more organically — the kind of informal moments that turn introductions into real connections, and that you simply can’t replicate elsewhere.

Grateful for the time, the conversations, and the outcomes of the week. I feel appreciative of the people I’ve connected with, and excited about what comes next.
