Princess Elizabeth’s wedding part 2.

Shortly after the wedding, Queen Mary (the princess’s grandmother) received framed material samples as a keepsake of Elizabeth’s dress.

What a brilliant idea, especially if you don’t have room to keep the dress.

A really interesting exhibition for me as a celebrant to see at Buckingham Palace recently, which included the wedding dress of Queen Elizabeth II (Princess Elizabeth at the time).

Made in 1947, during a time, post Second World War, when rationing was still in place and material had to be bought with ration coupons.

I am beginning to notice the season changing in my garden - leaves turning red & gold, different plants flowering.

This reminded me that the change of seasons also brings changes for celebrants - the majority of ceremonies occurring in spring (38%) and autumn (30%) with summer and winter ceremonies in the teens.
