THE GLOOMING COMPILATION brings together a selection of artists who have been part of the project from 2023 to 2026.

The compilation created a lasting archive of the project across four years, documenting the artists, sounds and collaborations that have shaped The Glooming.

Delivered by Basket Of Hammers, the album reflects the project’s evolution and diversity.

Special thanks to all the artists featured on the album, to collaborators Brinks Helm, 4⍜⍜⍜ RECORDS , Kris Berndt and James Clark for their support of The Glooming.

All proceeds go to Pay The Rent.

GONE 2 GROUND // ARTIST RESIDENCY

Gone 2 Ground is a residency program at GLÓR Project Space supporting creative practitioners to explore ideas, test new approaches, and develop new work within a dedicated studio environment.

Gone 2 Ground is open to practitioners working across experimental, interdisciplinary, and contemporary practices.

Delivered in partnership with Basket Of Hammers, two residencies are available for artists who are exploring, evolving, or re-engaging with their practice.

Each selected resident will receive:

• $1,000 artist stipend
• Two weeks of dedicated studio access at GLÓR Project Space
• One-on-one mentoring and critical support throughout the residency
• A micro-commission to support the development of new work
• Peer exchange opportunities with fellow artists and practitioners
• Professional documentation of the residency and resulting work
• Marketing and promotional support
• Technical support, where required, for the presentation of new work
• A $300 artist fee to contribute to GLÓR’s public program through the delivery of a workshop
• The opportunity to present work developed during the residency as part of SAMHAIN 2026 alongside invited local, national, and international artists

Selected artists receive artist fees, dedicated studio access, mentoring, micro-commission support, peer exchange, public engagement opportunities, and presentation support connected to SAMHAIN 2026.

This Saturday we are delighted to have DC Cross at GLÓR.

Darren Cross ala .ccross , is an Australian songwriter, guitarist, producer and video maker, best known as the founding vocalist and guitarist of Gerling from 1992 to 2007.

His current solo work centres on a distinctive acoustic guitar style, drawing from American and British folk traditions of the 1960s and 70s, echoing artists like John Fahey, Leo Kottke, Elizabeth Cotten, Nick Drake and Bert Jansch.

Under his D.C Cross moniker, he has released seven instrumental guitar albums between 2019 and 2025, including Open Guitar Volume One, which highlights his focused, expressive approach.

Across a 25 year career, Cross has released 17 albums spanning solo work and projects including E.L.F. and the folk noir duo Jep and Dep with Jessica Cassar. He has collaborated with artists such The apartments, , , and , working across genres from indie rock and electronica to traditional folk.

A seasoned live performer, Cross has toured extensively throughout Australia and Europe, including a 19 show run across Germany, France and Belgium in 2025. He has shared stages with , , , and .
