We are MV Baroness - a beautiful 82 foot classic timber cruiser providing a delightful touch of luxury for party-planners and event-managers. We boast the most generous deck and bow space of any commercial cruise vessel operating on the Brisbane River. Our fearless leader, Janine Wright, is very much part of the furniture on the boat, and is a "hands-on" owner who genuinely cares about the happine

ss and satisfaction of her clients. Whether it's a birthday, anniversary, engagement, wedding, social group gathering or corporate event - let Janine and her team get things tailored to your budget and needs. Baroness was formerly known as "Commmissioner II" out of Port Jackson, Sydney, but has made Brisbane her home (home berth is Murrarie) for some years now. Her sister vessel is "Island Princess" more fondly known as the Brisbane Party Cruise boat which hosts many a happy group every weekend. Coast Guard is often tasked to help the Water Police deal with Kayaks and other similar Personal Watercraft which are found in our waters without a rider.

In some circumstances this can lead to significant Search and Rescue Operations.

We encourage all owners and users of Kayaks and similar PWC to ensure there is some form of ID that stays with the craft, for example, a mobile phone number / name in a watertight bag within a compartment on board. This makes the job of locating a potential owner much easier.

🚨 RED Member Training in Action 🚨

Today we ran a unique search and rescue training activity with some of our RED Members who made our "most rescued list" in the past 12 months.

As part of a trial ‘Reverse Rescue’ exercise, our Coast Guard crew got to put there feet up and became the ones “in need".

Turns out… we make excellent casualties 🤷‍♂️

All jokes aside, it's a great way to build confidence, sharpen skills, and see things from the other side of a rescue scenario…or was it? 😉
