When I first met Charlie & Claire, it was so bloody obvious how much they just adored each other.
Not through overt displays of affection or anything like that. But in subtle ways they moved and spoke so in synch with each other. In the way that those truly complementary couples do.
And while you wouldn’t know it looking at these gorgeous snaps - especially given the enormous grins plastered across their faces - it’s fair to say that to begin with, these two weren’t massively looking forward to the attention being on them during their ceremony.
Understandably, having been together for more than 17 years, they were adamant that we were to avoid any cliches and were pretty set on the vibe they were after.
Now, some people might find this a challenging brief, but I love me some specifics baby! In fact, did someone say it’s time to rise to the challenge? You betchya they did!
Through deep conversation and truly understanding what was important to the two of them, we co-created a ceremony that leant heavily into who they are as people and avoided overdone tropes.
We optimised for genuine connection at every point possible, from how we invited friends and family to share their reflections to the way we were placed in the gorgeous bistro at frenchsaloon.
As you can see from these glorious photos, what we created was deeply intimate - like a conversation between loved ones - and was oozing with warmth from start to finish.
Marrying these two was an absolute joy + wanna know the best part? Naturally, Charlie & Claire loved every bloody minute of it ✨
