What a delight it was to marry these two, and celebrate the fact that made a mixed marriage work. And by that I mean Cats v Pies..

Want to know one of the best, most intoxicating parts of being a marriage celebrant?

Moments like this, when you catch eyes with your couple mid-ceremony, and see them relishing in the truly unique experience of being gloriously seen & celebrated on their wedding day.

It hits even harder when, in cases like this one with the beautiful + Charlie, there was some nervousness about what this would actually be like.

Goosebumps.
Everytime.
The best.

What a bloody gift it is to get to create bespoke ceremonies to ensure this experience is one that EVERYONE gets.

One year on from the most glorious summer wedding of my brother & sister in law at the incredible

Just like today, it was hotttttt AF, but that didn’t stop us loving each other fiercely and celebrating all night, in full Greek & Turkish style.

It is sooooooo bloody normal to feel a bit overwhelmed about writing and saying your vows.

HOT TIP: ask your celebrant for some guidance 👋🏻

In today’s case, my lovely bride and I:
🔵 Firstly, normalised and acknowledged her feelings

🔵 Second, talked through what was coming up for her and reframed some of her concerns - it’s amazing how a different perspective can shift your energy.

🔵 Third, we had a really fun little brainstorm on what she might like to include in a non-pressured way + and I shared some guidance on what structures could work.

The result? She is now feeling way better about something that was causing her heaps of unnecessary stress.

Your ceremony is supposed to be a joy! If parts of it are feeling s**tty or causing you stress, come to us. We’re here to help ❤️
