Vendor love time. 💐📸

I’m never going to stop saying this: when you find vendors you love, book them.

And I’m never going to stop shouting about the brilliance of other talented people in this industry either. I’m a passionate believer that when one of us grows, we all grow. There is room for collaboration, kindness, creativity, and celebration of each other’s work.

Two vendors I met very early in my celebrant journey are Jade from and Lachy from — and they are both just genuinely wonderful humans.

They operate from such a kind place. Generous. Warm. Thoughtful. Creative. And wildly talented at what they do.

These gorgeous images, captured by the insanely talented Lachy, showcase the beyond-beautiful floristry from Jade.

Now if you know me, you know I’m a big lover of colour. So much so that I’ve already written into my will that the colour black is banned. 😌

Jade’s use of colour here is just incredible. The palette is unique and unexpected for a wedding, and the simplicity of the design is what makes it so powerful. The restraint. The intentionality. The way each colour is allowed to shine without being overcrowded.

One of the things I love most about being a celebrant isn’t just standing up the front and delivering a ceremony.

It’s the moments right before everything begins.

Sometimes a couple walks into the ceremony space full of excitement.
Sometimes they’re nervous.
Sometimes it all suddenly feels very real.

And every now and then… the groom (or partner!) walks straight up to me and gives me a big hug.

Those hugs mean the world to me.

Because in that moment it means we’ve created something really special together — a space where they feel supported, safe, and completely themselves. A space where they know the person standing beside them is someone they trust to guide one of the biggest moments of their lives.

A simple hug can calm nerves, steady the heart, and remind them:
“You’ve got this. I’m right here.”

Creating ceremonies where people feel safe, supported, and genuinely celebrated is what this job is all about for me.

And honestly?
Those pre-ceremony hugs are one of the best parts of the whole day. 🤍
